DV5-1000 led error code

    DV5-1000 led error code

    I got a dv5 that has led error code. It blinks 3 times and it keeps repeating it self which tells me is a memory error. I have already changed the memory stick and cpu for known good ones and have checked the memory slot for voltages. I found that 3v,1.8v and .9v are present. Anybody have any idea?

    Northbridge needs reballing. Quite common fault with these.

      Yeah i figured.... I guess I was kind of hoping it wouldn't have come to that since I don't have a stencil for that bga. I guess I'm screwed until it arrives.
