by BigOofHi,
I bought a used Marantz SR5007 and it's giving me some issues that I can't seem to really place. It functions well in most settings, ARC mostly works, it has no issues driving my speakers in any of the digital input modes, but I'm having issues running analog inputs in direct or pure direct mode. For some reason in this mode there's distortion for every volume increment I give it, but once the volume is stable it has no issues. Muting creates a loud pop, switching to another source also causes a pop and so does turning off the amp in that mode. Again, no issue in the digital modes....-

by dclass-proHi all guys, I need your help. On a HP 440 G2 - LA-B181P laptop I was changing the speakers and the pc worked fine everything ok.
After closing it all with all the screws I realized that it would no longer turn on. I opened it and found that the flat cable of the LCD was shorted. I ordered a new flat but the motherboard still won't turn on, as soon as I connect the power supply the connector LED always flashes and the power button stays on.
I tried to check the voltages and the 3v and 5v are there, on the battery pin (with no battery connected) I have about 2v.
I tried to... -
by reformattLooking for some advice on a 820-02016 board as I don't have much experience with these M1 machines. Learning the nuances of them as I go.
So the history of this machine was it had been in a bag where a bottle of water leaked. Presented as dead about a month ago, corrosion was mainly around the battery connector and it's sub-PCB. Some corrosion was noted on the board around UC300, CC325, CW1C7, CW1C8. That was it really.
Now without battery connected, USB-C will stay at 5V and cycle between 0 and 120ma. PPBUS_AON is cycling between 0 to 12.3V. If battery is connected,... -
by myth77So, lately i found that for smaller chips like pch it is very difficult to reball with nondirect heat stencil. So i decided to try direct heat stencils...and while i am waithing some stencils to arrive i have a few questions:
1. From who do you buy a quality direct heat stencils? i am reading that they can vary in quality and make a big difference...Any trusted sellers?
2. I am reading also the problem of warping (curving) direct heat stencils...Is it because of quality of the stencils? or/and because some preheating is also required? and help and advice here?01-17-2022, 05:06 AM -
by FuzzyOwlHi, I have a Denon AVR-X3600H I'm trying to repair. I have no electronics repair experience but I have a multimeter, service manual and a will to fix it (https://device.report/m/d5de8c00e617...f63147aba9.pdf)
Everything seems to work except for no sound even through the pre outs. However I will get sound using Zone 2 pre outs.
Only digital symptom I can tell is it will soft lock when in the Speakers/Test Tone menu and be unable to adjust +/- db during the test tone.
I've followed the trouble shooting guide, audio check...1 Photo-
