HP Pavilion No Video on Display

Hp Pavillion dv6-3225DX

Backstory:
The original screen was stepped on and the laptop still powered and showed images on the display just the portion that had the most pressure applied to it was distorted.

The orginal panel was an led samsung which I replaced with a LG of similar specs.

After replacing the display the laptop powers on but there is no video.
I was careful in removing the flex cable from the old panel to the new one.
tried reseating cmos/booting with one memory/ with/without hdd.

I was thinking it might be flex cable for the display
What should I be testing first before I order a replacement?

did you remove battery when you fitted new screen???

Can you see in the panel if there is picture? There might be dark picture (no backlight) if so then you have to check if there is any fuse for the backlight on the mainboard.

No I left the battery in when replacing the screen

as lefos suggested, check for tiny fuse on motherboard around the screen connector
on the led screens, you need to remove battery when replacing a screen

Connected the old panel back in and see if you can get back to the original problem.

I did shine a flashlight and there was no picture. The only thing that looks remotely like a fuse that I can see might be on the dc jack pictures attached

Yes they are both 40 pin

The number of pin and the connector can be the same, but the pin assignment may not be the same, and if the ground pin and power supply voltage pins are not at the same location, then you really cause damage to the main board/ or the panel. The only way to verify is to get the spec sheet of the panels.

Finally got attachments working again.

I have asony vaio vpcea36fa lap (mother board mbx-224) not power on

my teachers in electronics did this and he ended up changing the motherboard
be prepare.
until you search we need a schematic so we can pinpoint what to check.
post the mobo code so we can find it.

yeee! its you.
if you wanna upload big pictures you need to do it one by one!
if you got cellphone or table photos you can do more the one.
From my nikon i have to do it one by one
