I have a Gateway NS2273
powers on with the ac adapter but does not show the charging light and os windows/linux reports it as plugged in not charging;the current battery life is at 50%.
I have tested a known working power adapter and battery and it made no differnce.
With the battery removed and the ac adaptor plugged in
the charging pins from left to right report as follows 1 &2 are ground pin3-3.280 pin4-3.280 pin5-3.251 pins 6&7 start anywhere from 3.4 to 3.0 and slowly drop.
Where should i begin to look for to test on the mobo ? Also does...

Yes they are both 40 pin

I did shine a flashlight and there was no picture. The only thing that looks remotely like a fuse that I can see might be on the dc jack pictures attached...

Hp Pavillion dv6-3225DX
Backstory:
The original screen was stepped on and the laptop still powered and showed images on the display just the portion that had the most pressure applied to it was distorted.
The orginal panel was an led samsung which I replaced with a LG of similar specs.
After replacing the display the laptop powers on but there is no video.
I was careful in removing the flex cable from the old panel to the new one.
tried reseating cmos/booting with one memory/ with/without hdd.
I was thinking it might...
