    GM501GS NOT HOLDING THE BATTERY

    Model: GM501GS

    Maintenance Summary:

The device could not be powered on, and the second MOSFET did not pass the 19V voltage. After replacing the charging IC, the 19V voltage passed normally.

The 3V and 5V power supplies were overheating. So I decided to replace the 3V and 5V power supplies, but the problem persisted. Later I found that the EC chip was the problem. After replacing the EC chip, the device worked normally.

After observation, it was found that the battery could not hold a charge and the device would automatically shut down when the charger was unplugged.

What else should I check? Do I have any mistakes that need to be fixed?

The voltage is as follows (with out battery) :

    ACDET-2.6V

    PROHOT-0V

    ACOK-5V

    BATDRIVE-8V

    SDA-3V

    SCL-3V

    ACDOCK IN-19V

    REGN-6

    ACOK seems odd.

      what should be the voltage?

Check the VCC pin on the charger IC. Often there is a dual common cathode diode that is a point of failure. Remove all power. Test each leg in diode mode.
