    820-02020 board. 5V cycling on both ports

    Hi! I'm having very similar problem with 820-02020 board. 5V cycling on both ports, the rear one, closer to UF400 0.11A - 0.28A and resetting meter, the front one constant 0.24A resetting meter in faster cycle. I have replaced already both CD3217 and this behavior changed a little - previously the front port had also changing current draw and slightly longer reset cycle.
    These weren't chips pulled by me from another board. I got them on Ali 5pcs. Tried 4 of them, same effect.
    The computer was bought as not working with info that worked on battery till it drained. Did not charge it back.

    PPBUS_AON = 12V
    USBC0_CC1 = 0.09V - both ports
    USBC0_CC2 = 1.60V - rear port, 0.09V front port
    SPI_UPC01 lines all measure 16ohm
    SPI_UPC01_CLK = 0V
    SPI_UPC01_MOSI = 0.16V
    SPI_UPC01_CS_L = 3.42V
    SPI_UPC01_MISO = 3.42V
    PP3V3_UPC0_LDO = 3.42V
    I do not have oscilloscope to check for data transfer.
    PP1V8_S2 = 1.8V
    USBC0_3V3LDO_EN = 0V
    USBC1_3V3LDO_EN = 0V

    Do you have any hints on this?

    Can you clarify this measurement? How and where are you measuring these lines?

      These were measured between far side of the resistor RF295, RF296, RF297, RF298 and corresponding pins of UF260.
      That was done in resistance mode, no power to the board.
      Next thing I measured the voltage drop to ground with USB-C plugged in and cycling 5V.

        Hello everybody, I could use some help on this one... It's got me guessing...
        I took pictures of all the boards and the pin out of the connector on the power supply that goes to the main board... I measured all the pins in relation to chassis ground, here are the result.

        (B13v)1. 12.7 volts cycling (Vamp) 2. 12.7 volts cycling
        (B13v)3. 12.7 volts cycling (PWM5) 4. 1.0 volts cycling
        (OD_LE)5. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM4) 6. 0.9 volts cycling
        (OD_ON)7. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM3) 8. 0.9 volts cycling
        9. ground (PWM2) 10. 0.9 volts cycling...

        Hi all

        There's two other threads about this monitor with seemingly the same problem. The problem was resolved in one case by replacing the entire PSU board and in the second one by replacing an unknown IC.

        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=40512

        The first one has pictures of the pcbs and I noticed that there's one IC and assorted caps not populated on mine (but the PCB itself looks identical) so I thought that'd warrant a new thread.

        It's my dad's old monitor. He...

        MacBook A2141 one USB port dead and one power cycling
        by dbuergi
        Hi all,

        I got a 16inch MacBook Pro showing 5v and 0,3a on the left ports and right side has one power cycling and one showing nothing. The one cycling shows 30c under thermal camera. Surrounding components show no corrosion or any shorts.
        Any ideas what to check next? The whole board looks clean compared to the other A2141s i saw....

        A2141 820-01700 Power cycling (DFU worked ok)
        by mon2
        Hi. Working on an A2141 that is power cycling. Powers up fine (20V @ 3.1A peak) -> fan spins ok and then at a higher speed (after we removed the trackpad so the sensors are missing) -> chimes ok but after the high fan spin -> power cycles and repeats this loop. We did manage to DFU the unit with revive mode (4/4 steps completed ok) -> resulted in a brief padlock graphic before power cycling. Unable to toggle the keycaps led since the boot does not reach this far of the cycle.

        Q: Does the DFU process validate that the nand flash is OK ? We do not wish to restore this board...

        Samsung UN55FH6030: random power cycling
        by valvashon
        Samsung UN55FH6030, perfect size for my office and does OTA well but isn't a smart TV. That's OK because I am a TV station engineer and only need it for OTA monitoring.

        About a month ago it started power cycling itself once or twice a day and now it's nearly continuous once it's been on for a few minutes. Changing channels would really start it cycling and it would take several minutes to stabilize but now it's just doing it almost non-stop without changing channels.

        Once I disconnected the antenna I found that I could change channels with no issues. My guess is...
