At first, backlight would be really sensitive, sometimes you have to apply pressure to the bottom left of screen for backlight to be on, sometimes it will stay on but if desk is bumped it will go off. Eventually it stopped all together, disconnected battery, pulled the bezel off and disconnected the screen, then removed the protective film around the lcd board. During board inspection there was a resistor that was barely attached to only one pad, a tiny amount of force with tweezers got this to move completely off, and unfortunately too far away as it is now lost.. I don't know if this is the only issue though, I don't know what would cause such absurd behaviour.. I do not know what this resistor is, and hope that someone has some details about the attached screen - a schematic would be awesome

by unimatrix93Dear community, I want to increase the lifespan of my backlight led in my TV by decreasing the current.
However I need some help identifying the resistor I need to replace to achieve this.
Thank you!

I am trying to repair an ancient Dell 2209WA Monitor which suddenly shut off with a pop sound. On investigation found that one of the fusible resistors had blown. Further investigation identified multiple components as faulty because of which the fusible resistor blew. Please refer the attached circuit diagram showing the components that were found to be damaged.
1. FR950 - blown fusible resistor - 0.2 Ohm 1W
2. Q950 - shorted Q950 MOSFET - 650V 10A N Channel Mosfet
3. R835 - Blown Resistor - 20KOhm SMD resistor
4. D930 - Shorted Schottkey Diode...-

by EffiSonHi. Could anyone on the forum help me find the cause of the problem?...
The board is LA-B111P Rev:1A comes from Lenovo Y50-70.
I have a identified the damaged R205 resistor, and connect a jump wire over it So it restores the backlight but causing strange problems
1. With Battery ONLY plugged in laptop works fine
2 .With Charger ONLY plugged in laptop works fine as well
3. Connecting both battery and charger at the same time shows a strange flickering screen. The flickering is not constant, it is completely random (and I think it depends on the load -
by mikey5791Hi to all forum members,
Got this faulty 350 watt atx psu dirt cheap from a local online seller as i am keen to use it as a learning tool to repair faulty power supply.
The faulty part is quite obvious from the burn area near the 16pin KA7500 BD pwm. The fuse is still intact with good continuity.
Upon power on ac, there is 5vdc standby power on cathode of diode D14 and about 10vdc on cathode of diode D13.(This should be the aux power to generate the 12v and 5v rail.)
Initially i replace the two burned resistors near my marked red arrow to 200 ohm resistor... -
by DanPokaI bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...-
