this coil for exaple i suspect is short as is near the part that is getting hot. check if short and remove it. asfter remove check if short is on A or B. second, give a full image and see what that coil is for : chipset, cpu, video and so on. after that find schematics and well try to spot the coil correspondance on diagram
ps: better to describe the problem: no power on ? no usb, no video ... what problem has this macbook air ?
magsafe green ?
edit: if is macbook air A1370, you should have 7 coils total.
once i had a macbook with a hot component. after i said it's hot it's bad and gone for repair, i discovered that it was hot for a short in circuit, so hot= bad it's not the solution. first we need to check for coils, then we see one or other side
i have a 2009 version of air here for sata zif hard drive change (hope is it )
to check coil, black wire to usb metal cover, red to one side a time of the coil. multimeter setup for short (if it has that funcion)or in diode mode. 000 001 002 003... is shorted.

Thanks. This helped me learn a bit about checking too.
