Hi all,
what´s the purpose of U0500 ROM located next to the M1 SOC? It seems to be somehow bound to the SN of the board. If I replace it with same IC from other a2338, it´s starting up in recovery mode and DFU fails (Error 9 most of the time, tried many times). If I put on the original U0500 I´m still in recovery, but can perform DFU and everything works fine again.
Is there a way to replace this IC without having the original one available? Unfortunately I cannot find any information about this ROM and it´s function..
Thanks
