HP Pavillion G7 Capslock and Numlock is blinking continuously, it means cpu error.
I checked vcore voltage and it is missing. I resoldered cpu power ic and i flashed the bios but the problem still exist. Any ideas?

Hi, You need to REBALL the graphics chip, there is no point in reflowing it as the same problem will reappear in no time at all, the solder balls have either cracked or pooled together. Reflowing it will eventually just turn the solder to dust.

well if you have caps local blinking ONE time between pauses , then its supposed to be CPU issue (but if its AMD machine ) your problem is on the IGP chip . Reball and its ok (attention better to replace this chip or else very soon it will comeback

Hello its intel core i3 i reflowed the chip twice but still it does not work. there is no extra graphic chip. Btw i never have sucess with core i3 machines by reflowing, it never works for me but older machines or amd its just fine. I do reflowing a lot and most times it can work almost up to 6 months which i think is ok.

Elitebooks (820, 840 etc. all gens) and those continuously flashing Power LED + flashing CapsLock LED
                  by STKR123
As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...

                  Hello Community!

                  CASE DETAILS

Promblem Signs: Backlight on 1 sec off 7sec > repeat && Red standby light: 1blink, off 3 sec, 2 blinks, off 5 secs, 2 blinks, off 3 sec, restart cycle

13V present on powerboard output. Backlight continues flashing after removing cables to pannel one at a time and even with both disconnected. NOTE: backlight STOPs flashing and remains on when connector between powerboard and mainboard (note Tcon built in) is disconnected.

Tried inserting firmware on USB and left it in for a few hours, but no change

                  by H34TO
Recently I've gotten into EC flashing due to my broken laptop(s) and started frantically searching methods for flashing the IT5571E-128 chip on the cheap(due to me beaing a student and not having a job) and noticed that ITE newer chips can be flashed via ISP (In-System Programming) either via SMBus or the KBC (EPP - Enhanced Parallel Port) interface. While these can be achieved with programmers like SVOD4/3 or the RT809H/F those options are WAYYY out of my budget so I was horrified. But recently I stumbled uppon some programmers on aliexpress that claim they can program a variety of ITE chips...

                  Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

HP EliteBook 840 G1 - memory and MB problem?
                  by woji
Hello, can I ask for help with my problem? I have an HP EliteBook 840 G1 laptop and I have this problem - when I turn on the laptop, it usually starts up to 5-6 times ... the keyboard, power button, LEDs always light up, the fan spins and after 1 second the laptop turns off. After several attempts, the laptop turns on and starts to start, but then CapsLock and NumLock start flashing - 3 times and the fan spins at full speed. According to the manual, this is a RAM error - but I have already tried about 10 working modules and always the same error. Has anyone solved a similar or the same problem?...
