RAZER BLADE 15 2021 MODEL, No power, shorted rails.

The laptop I am working on is RAZER BLADE 15 , RZ09-0369, the motherboard is DA560 VER 4.0. The original fault was it powered up with keyboard rgb on and no video on screen/hdmi. I found corrosion on memory module that leaked onto the memory socket. I cleaned the memory socket and was able to boot normal with other memory socket with good memory. I really should have stopped at this point as everything was working except for the one bad memory slot.

I wanted to find out what was wrong with the other memory slot. I replaced a 330uf cap, a buck converter on back of board and when i put everything back together to test I plugged in the power adapter and then a loud pop and smoke. There was damage ZSAO 128 A9OR CHIP AND 22976 TI 038 A53L CHIP that I replaced with no help. Then I noticed L9 diode bad but have not replaced cause rails are still shorted to ground ( i did diode mode check - red probe on ground and black probe on cap + )

I took diode measurements and resistance measurement to ground and wrote the values on the attached pictures. The vcore lines are showing short to ground if im reading it right. Is this mean cpu/ gpu / pch dead ? how do I double check ? should i left up the side of inductor facing towards cap to see if one driver chip went bad ? I have worked on other electronics like nintendo switch but have not done much motherboard repair. Looking for some guidance/help here. Thanks in advance.

The caps above the DRMOS for the CPU are shorted to ground? That will be your main +19V power rail so you need to locate the source of that short.

The coil next to the PCH is also short to ground? That's likely your +1.05V rail so your PCH is probably damaged. I suspect you have had +19V go directly into one of the sub-rails from your description.

I found a bad dual mosfet by 19v input for 19v rail short. No longer pulling the bench power supply down. The 19v rail is now reading .032v for diode reading. I tried looking around for what diode reading i should be reading on these rails. I really hope the pch/cpu/gpu is ok

The 3.3v rail is reading .004v on diode reading.
I put the bench power on 3.3v rail with 3.1v with 1 amp limit and draws .700amp. There are some small smd that im still figuring what it is and super io chip is getting pretty warm.

3V @ 700ma is about 2W. That should be hot enough to locate the source of that with just IPA. Given that your coil next to the PCH is short as well, I'd be checking that first with voltage injection and thermal camera or IPA. The EC is usually fed off the LDO voltage from the 3.3V controller chip - if that IC is destroyed, it generally takes down the EC and PCH simultaneously.

I pulled the super i/o off , 2 chip with marking "VE" , a chip with marking "FA7808 2039CC" and chip with marking "bPCXN" . The 3.3v rail is now at .062v diode reading and the 5v rail is at .161v diode reading.

The PCH never got warm at any point, just the ones I pulled off. The super i/o chip was the last one i pulled off. But I think there are still small part that is shorted though as I check around the area where vin of chip is showing short.

Dead Razer Blade 14 2022, shorted CPU?
            by BalkanBoy
            Hi,

            today I got Razer Blade 14, Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3070Ti.

Laptop was completely dead. I found shorted CPU VRM mosfet, shorted 19V mosfet and blown battery fuse.

I replaced it all, but still on CPU coil where mosfet was shorted I got very low resistance, near 0 ohms. On other CPU coils I got around 3 ohms.

Laptop now raises voltage on whole board, but still nothing comes on the screen. CPU gets 0.7V on all coils except the shorted one. CPU gets only slightly hot, below 40 C.

I removed coil and injected 0.7V, it draw around...

            Troubleshooting Razer Blade 15 DA560
            by chickenhawk88
I started troubleshooting this Razer Blade 15 laptop DA560 motgerboard a while back, due to some shorted 19v, 5v, 1v power rails. I fixed some of components and think 19v rail is good, 5v rail is good, 3v is better but not all way i think, and 1v is still bad. At this point the diode reading on these rails are 19v - 0.032v , 5v - 0.167v, 3 - 0.63v and 1v - 0.005v .

When the rails when down, I went down different rabbit holes and seeing chips getting pretty warm on thermal but not blazing hot. Yet there were not any caps or any small components getting blazing hot. Example is EC chip,...

Razer blade 2022, 14" PI480 wont boot to OS, freezes
            by theplop
            Razer blade 2022, 14" PI480, Ryzen 6900HX, 16gb ram

I picked up a Razer blade 14" (2022) from a friend who said it "overheated" and he replaced one of the fans. He gave up on it as windows wouldn't work/re-install. He gave it to me, and i've been working on getting linux on it. Installing Mint i was able to get about 1/4 through the installer before it froze. Now i can't even get the installer to boot. I am met with a kernel panic.... sometimes. Sometimes it just hangs on the boot sequence.

I've run memtest quite a few times, and more often then not...

Razer Blade 15 2022, No internal display, Error Code 43
            by Rangry
            Hi! I have a Razer Blade 15 2022, with a RTX 3060.

One day, while using Linux, the internal display suddenly stopped working.

On Windows, it says that the internal GPU has stopped working (with error code 43).

I have tried removing the coin cell and the battery, and replacing the RAM, with no success on fixing anything.

I'm looking for directions to fix this problem, and, first of all, I would like to be able to access the BIOS and change some settings (which is currently impossible as it is always shown on the internal display). There is a setting...

Razer RZ09-01682 Blade Stealth 13 2016 BIOS dump needed
            by vinaypundith
I have this laptop that does boot but it's on an older BIOS that has issues with Secure Boot, and I cannot use the normal Razer BIOS updater because for some reason the serial number is missing / got deleted somehow (Common issue on this model, from what I've read). I got a dump of the BIOS chip (or at least what I think is the BIOS chip), and its 16MB in size - the files from the Razer BIOS update are 8MB. (There's two 8MB files, am I supposed to combine these somehow? Or combine with an Intel ME firmware? I have no idea).
So, I'm looking for a BIOS dump for this machine - a 16MB one....
