Lenovo P50 dead with burned motherboard

    Hello.
I received a P50 in very good shape that is dead and smelled burned board when on power supply.
I strip it and found a heavily burned area, there should be some cap but now are smoke.
Not sure where the one copper trace stops and starts the next, they seem mixed probably due to heat, this is my main problem as i'm not sure where should i solder what, so any help is appreciated.
    Schematics & boardview here

Pictures os the affected area attached below.
Not sure if it can be saved but i'll give it a try.
    Thank you in advance!

First check resistance to GND on both pads of the burnt area.

Well this is my main problem. I don't figure where the one pad ends and starts the other, they seem like one.
Anyway i took some measurements, the red area is grounded, the blue area is 170Ω

A user was kind enough to sent me picture of the affected area to understand how the traces should be.

Seems like the blue and hald red are the same rrqce and red is divided in the middle.

You received the picture for the area, showing where things are connected. Why the need to uselessly bump the thread ? Can´t you solve it with the picture provided ? In that case, post clear images of what is your problem.

I'm not sure where to digide the bottom trace (the red marked area on picture #1) as it seems like one and after divide where to inject voltage to trace the other short.

Lenovo X240 - motherboard replacement for X250, no image.

Friends. I beg you to help me in this situation.
Lenovo X240 with a video problem. Native Intel drivers are not installed,
after installation, a black screen. It works with the standard Microsoft driver.
Understanding that there are problems with the video core,
                I ordered a motherboard from Lenovo X250.
The laptop turns on, starts up, there is no image on the internal display.
The image is output to the external monitor.
I ordered another motherboard from Lenovo X250.
The laptop turns on, starts up, there is no image on the internal display.

Need help interpreting schematic of Lenovo B470 motherboard
                by rddube
                Hello everyone,

OK, so here is my issue.

This Lenovo B470 motherboard I am troubleshooting died and I identified it is the discrete Nvidia graphics chip that has lost it's ways!

So I removed it and now I am trying to change this motherboard to use UMA graphics, but I am having an issue interpreting the attached diagram. I have a 10K resistor in at the R2013 position and another one at the R2012. R2010 and R2011 are empty.

The motherboard starts, the fan spins but no display. It turns off by itself. I restart it and it does start but stays on...

Lenovo laptop dead motherboard GS752 NM-C781rev. 1.0 2019-11-25 inscribed at the pcb,

I have a dead laptop with mainboard model GS452/552/752 nm-c781 rev 1.0, i have initiated troubleshooting with the use of digital multimeter. checked voltage signals up to PM_SLP_S3#, found out that before PM_SLP_S3# signal , a PBTN_OUT#_R signal has 3.2 volt state and after pressing power on, PBTN_OUT#, It drops to logic level zero for around 12 secs and then back again to 3.2v for 6 secs. it will loop like that until you pulled out the adapter power. during loop the PM_SLP_S3 and S4 SIGNAL has no output. (0 volt ) may i ask for help to anyone with this kind of board and same kind of problem....

Legion Y540 17irh motherboard issue ( need help to know how to diagnose my motherboard)
                by Docus
                Hi everyone 😀,

I'm here today to ask for help with repairing the motherboard of a Lenovo Legion Y540 17IRH.

To give you some context, I'm passionate about computer repair so much so that I've invested in a lot of tools and started practicing on dead and old hardware. I've been learning how to solder and desolder components, mostly focusing on phone repairs.

Recently, I bought a broken Lenovo Legion Y540 17IRH for just €150, and there are two main reasons why I made this purchase:
                1. I already own the exact same model, but its plastic chassis is badly damaged.

The motherboard turned on for 3 sec and automatically turned off. All inductor voltages are present in the ram module 1.35v, CPU core, 1.8v, 1.05v, 3.3v, and 5v stand-by. Ampere reading in the DC power supply when i turn on the board is 1st 16mA then to 110mA and then to 250mA, when the board is turned off it goes to 4mA all this happened in 3 sec. When the board is turned off only LDO is present at 4mA.

I plugged out the DC-regulated power supply and did some off-state checking to see any shorts in load switches and then primary and secondary power line regulators and MOSFETs....
