by ReintarFirst of all, I'd like to mention that I'm a novice when it comes to laptop repair, although I do have some experience with soldering.
One day, my laptop experienced a severe stutter, and after rebooting, it failed to boot into Windows. I decided to disassemble it and found that the PL900 component was blown. Later, I came across a post (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...error%E2%80%99) with the same problem, where...08-30-2024, 06:13 AM -

by m1ch43lzmHi, i have this RadioShack IR thermometer Cat. No 22-170 which takes 2xAAA batteriss, I've tried with NiMH AAA rechargeables but it complains about low voltage, it flashes an "empty" battery and doesn't measure anything, even with freshly charged 2xAAA NiMH, so i have to "borrow" the batteries from my multimeter when i want to use it
I'm thinking abour replacing the 2xAAA batteries with a small LiPo battery that fits inside that space, but the voltage would be too high (4.2v)
I'm open to suggestions on whether i should use an LDO or another type of voltage... -

I was replacing ALC660 on asus x58c two times but still no sound with new chip, but works with original with bad sound. Nex time i replace audio ic in hp 840 g5 and again not work with new chip.
So is there something special needed when replacing audio ic? -
by bulkchart32nichiconare what i used because i had heard the voltage doesn't matter as long as it is more than the original cap. i'm now reading that high voltage may make the cap's esr too high. is this a good cap for replacing those oem ones?
