    Gateway MT 6017

    I have a broken lcd video cable... on my Gateway MT 6017...
    does anybody know what cable is compatible...???
    im trying to get it on ebay but i cant find a compatible cable ..
    any help would be appreciated..

      have you tried getting the p/n off the old cable sticker, and then searching ebay with that

              trebo-- i think i threw the cable away. i was working on 4 systems and the part probably go thrown in a trash bag...

              im goin to search and order the part from ebay ( its new and cheaper)...

                  We have an Lenovo Yoga 710 15ISK that we use as a secondary laptop. To cut a long story short, around May 2023, while traveling, I connected the laptop into an electrical outlet that was already switched on.                   Problem

                  This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                  Philips curling iron - is this a common AC cable?

                  Hi all,

                  Wife has 2 Philips hair curling irons half defective - after learning how they're supposed to work and testing them, it turned out that both have defective power cables, and both on the same place; broken wires due to wire bending.
                  As they were both relatively easy to disassemble, and cables are plugged not soldered (as they can rotate in the handle), I was sure it would be easy to find replacements. But - NO! I'm unable to find anything similar on ebay or Aliexpress.

                  Not sure if this is something Philips proprietary, or a standard, but the cable plug...

                  An ebay seller shipped me this broken tablet by mistake, and so I got my money back, but there are a decent amount of these seemingly in perfect shape but with screen issues (this tablet was clearly a return that had never been used or setup, so I don't think any physical damage occurred, also is a kids model so large bumpers on cover that isn't in picture) Is this a loose lvds cable or anything repairable beyond replacing the screen which would come with its own integrated tcon which is maybe where the problem would be?

                  The power on screens just exhibit the sideways smear, once...

                  T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)

                  Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

                  The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                  Original T-con:
                  Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                  First replacement T-con:

                  I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...
