    TX2 motherboard 504466-001 low voltage

    Hi,

i have HP touchsmart tx2 laptop , identified as per below screenshot the voltage at the PQ36 is coming low 1V but not sure can someone confirm if i am on the right track

Emitter is 18+ , Base and Collector are not giving 5V .. can someone please advise as per the picture.

secondly this motherboard was previously repaired and some other transistor is in place not "IRFR3709" but before i go and purchase i want to make sure i am right about the voltage i have confirmed with another TX1 board and on that the voltage at this transistor is In 18V Out 5V which is making me think that this is the faulty transistor.

    please advise thanks a lot

I don't see PQ36 on your upload, and you said its not IRFR3709, so what do you have?

thanks my question was raised after reading from this schematic do you understand PG 39 voltages and how to confirm expected voltages on point 1 / 4 / 3 on PQ37 just to identify if this is working as expected or not .

            regards.

Re: TX2 motherboard 504466-001 low voltage

pin 4 should have input 19v
              pin 1 control voltage
              pin 3 output 19v
              control voltage comes from pu9
you could short pin 4,3 to see

                    by kamil1986
                    Hello everyone.

                    Laptop Dell Latitude E5530
                    Płyta: LA-7902P REV:1
                    KBC: MEC5055-LZY
                    Procesor: intel i3

The laptop turns on but does not display the picture, after pressing the power button fan does not spin, the motherboard is stuck at 600mA current consumption the CPU and PCH chip gets warm. When I press again power button the fan start to spin but after a couple of seconds the motherboard turns off itself and current consumption drops to 12mA. The motherboard correctly displays fault codes because if I turn on the motherboard without RAM...

Asus ROG Strix Scar G533qm with a G733qm Motherboard, can I modify the Bios to accept G533 Bios
                    by glovecaps
                    Hello,

I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.

My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.

The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this...

Legion Y540 17irh motherboard issue ( need help to know how to diagnose my motherboard)
                    by Docus
                    Hi everyone 😀,

I'm here today to ask for help with repairing the motherboard of a Lenovo Legion Y540 17IRH.

To give you some context, I'm passionate about computer repair so much so that I've invested in a lot of tools and started practicing on dead and old hardware. I've been learning how to solder and desolder components, mostly focusing on phone repairs.

Recently, I bought a broken Lenovo Legion Y540 17IRH for just €150, and there are two main reasons why I made this purchase:
                    1. I already own the exact same model, but its plastic chassis is badly damaged.

                    HP Probook 470 G2 - white blinking - ADP_SIGNAL ?
                    by jajo17
Hello, I have this laptop with a bad motherboard. The LED in the socket is blinking white, endless loop. According to the information I found on the internet, this can be caused by several reasons that I am currently investigating.
                    1. Damaged BIOS chip - it seems to be fine, CH341a programmer can read it
                    2. BIOS RTC voltage shorted to ground - it seems to be fine, around 3V
                    3. Damaged adapter identification circuit - I think there is a problem here, but please help explain the function
What should be the voltage on ADP_SIGNAL when using a 65W HP adapter? My calculation of the voltage divider comes...
