Re: safe tempratures laptop board
Thanks momaka for the reply , can you explain a bit in lay man terms .. when i use the revork station i feel it is going to effect the chips or small components near by , and that is the reason for ask this question so i dont spoil other parts + ic's which i am working on.
how can i measure 230 degree i am learning and dont have luxury of complex devices.
thanks again.

Re: dark green and light green color laptop motherboard
Thanks, can you please explain a bit more on
rail power and ground and how this all can help me in tracing components connection with each other
example two mosfet connected with all pins in dark green quote but one pin will be in light green color out of 8 pins. how does this works ?
regards.

Re: SOny MBX-216 3.3V lost
please drill down further , are you facing this when battery is connected ? or you are testing with only power adapter ?
have you tried using only battery or power adapter to identify the behavior ?

mobo theory
Hi ,
i am newbie as my question confirm , i can see many components in different mobo section such as usb etc have a coil , 2 mosfet , interface connector and ic
what is the principal/way they function together ?
mosfet
coil
capacitor
and in case one of them fail how to find the replacement of that ?
Thanks.

safe tempratures laptop board
Hi when working with laptop mobo's what is the temp limit that we need to set on rework station ?
should we apply flux before heating IC's or components for a quick desolder ?
thanks in advance.

Re: TX2 motherboard 504466-001 low voltage
thanks my question was raised after reading from this schematicdo you understand PG 39 voltages and how to confirm expected voltages on point 1 / 4 / 3 on PQ37 just to identify if this is working as expected or not .

Re: TX2 motherboard 504466-001 low voltage
sorry its PQ37 getting voltage from charger to the IC i have inserted second screen as well. as for IRFR3709 , i need to go back and check on that transistor i will add the voltages that are out as well but after few hours thanks a lot...

TX2 motherboard 504466-001 low voltage
Hi,
i have HP touchsmart tx2 laptop , identified as per below screenshot the voltage at the PQ36 is coming low 1V but not sure can someone confirm if i am on the right track
Emitter is 18+ , Base and Collector are not giving 5V .. can someone please advise as per the picture.
secondly this motherboard was previously repaired and some other transistor is in place not "IRFR3709" but before i go and purchase i want to make sure i am right about the voltage i have confirmed with another TX1 board and on that the voltage at this transistor is...

Dell Vostro 1400 no power
Hi , i am new learner trying to learn laptop repairing as of now i have idea about checking individual components and tracing etc , taking out and putting back SMD stuff etc.
I want to know how voltage is distributed on the board just to understand where to get started with.
Example , from the power jack the voltage goes to which ic .. onwards to the south bridge -> north bridge (GPU) and to CPU depending on Intel and AMD.
hope you have got the point i am struggling to understand how to check voltage for a no power machine i.e looking for a starting...
