Presario CQ71: Yes Backlight, No Image

Working on this CQ71. Backlight comes on but no image. No image on VGA output. Reball needed? BIOS reflash?

ummm i dont think is bios issue

have you tried the external monitor without the lcd flex connected? a short in the flex may be causing the problem, also a bad lcd. if not i'd check the gpu. try a light reflow first.
