Laptop powers off as soon it enters Windows (after loading screen).

It runs fine for hours with XP on USB (driverless mode)

I think it has to do with the ATI IGP or could it be something power related feeding the video?

Also, sometimes it doesn't power off, just a black screen, no video.

Testing ATX PSUs under load - Does loading the ATX 24 pin also load EPS & PCIE?

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to clear up a misunderstanding of mine (or what I expect is one). Isn't the 12V rail from the 24 pin, EPS and PCIE separated? IE if I put a power resistor on the ATX 12V pin that is not going to load, thus tell me if the EPS or PCIE rails are fine?

I was recently watching ArIs from Hardware Busters video on how to properly test ATX PSUs without using 5 figure Croma substations.

The PCB adapter he used breaks out the 12, 5 and 3.3V pins from the 24 pin and gives you banana plugs to connect to. That is a bit useless is it not? Aren't...

Asus Laptop Restart when loading YouTube !

I have an Asus X510UN laptop.
It has a weird problem that it restart everytime while I'm loading the YouTube.
This happens only when the laptop plugged into charger.
When using battery power,it works fine and YouTube works without restarting.
Tried with Installing new Windows,changing SSD and also Flashing the BIOS.

Any help?

MSI GL63 8RD stuck after windows loading

in bios setup this laptop was running ok....but when boot to windows, will stuck like this after windows loading....i've try change another ssd and try to reinstall windows but this problem still persist...ampere also drop from 2amp (at windows loading) to 0.8a (when stuck).....any help?...

asus ux425I help only loading windows bsod

i have here asus ux425i problem won't boot on windows even installing new clean windows it just loading windows long time then turn to bsod even the installer unable to access on startup. new ssd new installer same status. i already flash bios no luck have anyone encounter this problem

HP Omen shuts down when loading OS

The model is 15ec-1061nm
Board number is DAG3EDMB8D0

SO i turn the laptop on , and as soon as it starts booting from disk, from usb, windows,linux,HBCD,anything i boot it just turns off....while in bios menu or in linux boot menu it stays on normally...It's like when it starts to use graphics it shuts down...But i measured 0.72V while working on the GPU power line,no excess heat is comming from GPU or CPU, i even removed the heatsink and turned the laptop on and everything worked fine, got a bit hot, fan span to full speed, but it worked like that for few minutes in bios...
