Hello all, i`m reading this wonderful forum for a while now to know that this is the place i` gonna be helped.
Shortly, i do computer repairs, but when it comes to MB repairs, it`s not my primary competence.
I got a Presario CQ61-400ES Intel motherboard, integrated video, with a power problem. The battery is dead, when i plug the adapter the white led lights for a few seconds and turns off. The battery led does not flash (with battery attached). But if i leave it like this 2-3 minutes, the led of the battery starts to flash (i suppose to tell me that it is a battery that needs to be replaced). At this point if i press the power button the battery led stops flashing for a few seconds and after that starts again. Apart from this, nothing else happens. No power on, no leds, no fans spinning, no nothing. Completely dead. Without battery, no power, no nothing. Only the led on the DC jack lights for a few seconds.
The customer didn`t bring me the original HP adapter, but one that does not have Voltage on the middle pin (Dell i suppose). Think that this is not the problem though. I`ve disassembled the MB and red the previous posts. No CQ48 on mine
Where to now? Any help will be highly appreciated.
