does anybody know how to identify the ic's on this machines like asus they dont have any sign or marking and also the ic's in the schematic are not matching tottaly. Some of them ok, even the pcb layout is the same. everything ok but the ic's .....

replaced a lcd and hinge on one of those before and man was it a pain!!!!!! the lcd bezel is glued!!!!!! together.. anyways take some pictures of what your talking about please....Comment

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.
I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...06-27-2025, 08:54 AM -
1. RESET MACOS WITH IPSW
a. Power off MacBook, press and hold the power button to enter Recovery
b. Open Disk Utility, remove Macintosh HD
c. Reboot, connect to the network to Activate Mac.
d. Plug the C cord in the first port of the MacBook into the other Mac, then power off the MacBook
d. Hold down the Control (L) + Option (L) + Shift (R) + Power key combination for 10 seconds
e. Release the other keys, but keep holding the Power key for another 10 seconds
f. MacBook is returned to DFU, open Apple Configurator 2 on the other Mac, right-click... -
guys i have problem with macbook pro A1707 ic UB700(TBT regulator),it doesnt have output voltage and the board just have 0,230 amper;19 volt, but the trackpad can click, i dont have idea this is processor or Thunderbolt -
I am looking at an A2337 and found this for the order of power rails and what they do. Can this be confirmed before I dive into hunting down power rails that do not exist or are not neccisary?
- PPBUS_G3H (12.6V-12.8V)

I’m working on one macbook air 15” m2 that was water damaged.
keyboard, lcd, microphone connectors were damaged so i’ve replaced all of them and without screen connected macbook worked fine. Keyboard &trackpad and also lid sensor was working fine.
i’ve put macbook in shelf and order new screen so i can fully repair it.
Now i got the screen and macbook stays at 5v 0a.
i’ve tried if it’s not in DFU with another macbook but it’s not detected at all.
i don’t have schematics so i don’t know where to start can someone help me?...
