WOW those are small, about how many will be on MB ?

I have no idea the best way would be to do it in sections. Before you spend a lot of time trying to check them, can you explain to me how are you going to check them?

What should my meter settings be set for the ic?

Check the ic with the ac on and set your DMM to voltage, remember always put the neg- on a screw hole when checking for voltage.

Put leads on each end of diode test when switch lead ends and test again .

I went over the mb didn't find any more diodes like you circled in the picture.
Found some with 1 leg on one side and 2 legs on the other side that I think are diodes.

Yes AC on and no you don't have to install anything on.

Well you got 3.3v that's good, now check for voltage on the capacitors inside the cpu socket. You will need to power it up for this test. First set your proves then power it up, after you get the reading power it back off. You are looking for 1.8v on those capacitors.

Well you got 3.3v that's good, now check for voltage on the capacitors inside the cpu socket. You will need to power it up for this test. First set your proves then power it up, after you get the reading power it back off. You are looking for 1.8v on those capacitors.

5 larger capacitors 1.08
7 smaller capacitors 6 read 00.2 and 1 read 0.91

as many as you see, on there i tried finding the other type i saw at one point but can't find it again for some reason but they looked like those tiny resistors but black with white line and a tiny little arrow on it...

I looked over the MB could not find any with a white line and arrow. But did find a bad diode it reads 845 both ways. see picture it is circled in pink This is wrong picture I will post another of the right one

Ok Its a 1n4148 diode. It needs to be replaced here's a link
