Re: DELL INSPIRON 6000 BATTERY problem

not very descriptive but i imagine it turns on and boots into windows? The operating system general can tell you if battery is bad or it holds little or no charge if you have a digital multimeter set it to 20 volts dc and on the plug of the charger the end that goes into laptop you will put negitive probe on outer of plug and in center there is a needle pin put the red probe there it should read.02 to .05 volts if little more is ok...also check dc jack for how loose it is, if loose good chance that may be culprit.

i would suggest trying with a new charger or battery. that would be the easiest way to figure out where the prob is. maybe you know someone who has the same laptop. just borrow his battery and see it it charges.

Re: DELL INSPIRON 6000 BATTERY problem

First check the plug on the end of charger should have aprox 19volts DC if you have this voltage then the charging circuit in the laptop needs checking this is a job for an experienced engineer not recommended for unskilled person. If you have access to one of the same units you could check charger and battery with that unit. Just a thought if the charger is not a dell original it will not charge the battery

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
            by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Inspiron 3542 (Cedar_Intel-MB 13269-1) - RTC battery self-discharging and Realtek LAN issue
            by danielsak
Hello, I have issue with Dell Inspiron 3542.

            Motherboard marking:
            Code:
            Cedar_Intel-MB 13269-1
            PWB FX3MC REV: A00
The laptop works just fine (on battery and power supply) and doesn't cause any problems, except those described below:
            1. The first problem is that the RTC/CMOS battery self-discharges after about 2-3 weeks after installing a new battery. I have been installing different batteries (GP, Duracell, Energizer) and the problem still exist.
            1. The second problem is the LAN network card (Realtek RTL8106E), which is not detected at all in Windows. The BIOS is

The ISL88739 & ISL88739AHRZ are a highly versatile combo battery charger
configurable for operating as either a Hybrid Power Boost (HPB)
charger or a Narrow VDC (NVDC) charger, supporting 2-, 3-, or
4-cell batteries. Both configurations allow the battery to work with
the adapter together to supply the system load when it exceeds
the adapter capability, referred to as system Turbo mode. HPB
charger configuration reverse-boosts battery energy to the system
bus to help the adapter provide the system power in Turbo mode.

dell inspiron 5567 laptop battery lipo WDX0R
            by ipatch
recently i was gifted a dell inspiron 5567 for wiping the data on the hard drive. (yay me). however i already have a computer that i use, so i have no need for this computer. this computer wasn't without its problems though.

            1. i had to purchase an adapter to retrofit my older style dell laptop battery cable. (not too expensive) ~= 10 bucks for a 2 pack via amz.

            2. after that i had to find a spare cr2032 (easily found in my parts bin) and assemble a makeshift cmos battery thanks to some copper foil tape and some heat shrink tubing.

            got the computer...

Highly Integrated Narrow VDC Battery Charger for Notebook Computers

The ISL6257HRZ ISL6257HRZ-T is a highly integrated battery charger controller
for Li-Ion/Li-Ion polymer batteries. ISL6257 is designed for
Narrow VDC applications where the system power source is
either the battery pack or the regulated output of the charger.
This makes the max voltage to the system equal to the max
battery voltage instead of the max adapter voltage. Operating
