    Gateway FPD1976w 2 second blackout

I have been following the OPs re: this problem and have replaced the caps with (LCD repair kit for Gateway FPD1976w from CCL-La) even thou they did not look bad with no improvement. I checked the primaries of the high voltage transformers and found them to be @640ohms each and have not changed them. I then used a known good CCFL to replace the top CCFL no change and then the bottom CCFL of the monitor with no change in status.

What else could be causing this monitor to start up and go dark? I can see the text on the screen after blackout using a flashlight. It definitely seems like a back light problem.

    HELP!!

you have posted in in laptop section, repost in monitor section or ask moderator to move it, get all the help you need there,
it may be a bad solder joint on the inverter
