    HP G62 Model G62-b50SG TIC sound

    Hello
    You can see some voltages as 3.3V, but 19V is not stabilized and rises and falls with each blink
    The Power LED button will flash and you can hear a TIC sound with each flash.
    where does the TIC sound come from?
    Thank you

    There is some short on your motherboard. measure resistance to GND on all coils as well as CLR.

      I found the problem
      PQ55 Mosfet replaced now turns on but turns off again after 10 or 20 seconds later

      PQ55
      D=9.80V
      G=19V
      S=19V

            Another question: where does the sound come from the coil or electrolytic capacitors?

              Its difficult to pinpoint the source of ticking sound in such cases as whereever you put yours ears,it'll always confuse you. Model is with discrete graphics or not? Resistance to GND on all coils? These were highlighted earlier but you didnt answered them.

                    What do you have to do when something like this happens?
                    cmos reset 502, then the laptop turns off and no longer starts, you have to wait a day

                      This board is too old to waste your time. It has a discrete amd graphics as well which invariably fails after so many years.

                        Yes, it has an ATI graphics chip
                        When I start the laptop the fan also turns
                        the coils don't all beep

                          Northbridge is also well known for being unreliable.
                          Best solution is to replace motherboard (+CPU and heatsink) with an Intel platform without dGPU. There are a few Intel boards for G62 but not sure which one would fit exactly your chassis, possibly the PM_I_HPC_S MV_MB_V3.
                          Also gives better performance, battery life and less heat.

                            OK thanks
                            Battery is also being charged
                            then I have to see if I can find another motherboard
