    Macbook A1278 no charge

    Hi guys, I have this macbook with 820-2936-b logic board that only turns on on battery.
    I tried changing the charging connector the SMC controller and the cairca ic but it still doesn't work. When I plug in the magsafe I have no light, as soon as I plug it in with no battery the mac won't turn on (usually all turn on).
    I did the various checks and only with the charger connected to the U700 pin I have:
    pin2 - 16V
    pin3 - 3.8V
    pin19- 5V
    pin14 - 3.3v

    PPBUSG3H have 3.4V
    absorption with bench power supply 0.07A
    do you have any idea?

      voltaje on pin 14 of U7000?
      voltaje of SMC_RESET_L?

          PP3V42_G3H voltaje - 3.4V
          voltaje on pin 14 of U7000 sometimes it's 0v and sometimes it's 3.3v
          SMC_RESET_L 3,4V
          How can I check if the DCIN connector is working?

                      This is not correct. Measure again the voltage of PPBUS_G3H to ground @ F7040 (check both sides of this fuse).

                      Use only the official netnames (labels) used in the schematics. It will make it easier for others to review to debug your case.

                          I confirm that on both sides of F7040 I have 12.94V

                              Hi there, I've got a Macbook Pro A1278 board code 820-2936-B in which I have a very strange charging issue.

                              Backstory is when I plugged the charger in, it would give a green light and swap to orange like normal but after a few seconds would go off to no light, laptop still powered on and functioned fine.

                              So naturally I replaced the ISL chip first which made no difference so I also removed and reballed the SMC. This seemed to fix the issue for about an hour until I was back to square one again.

                              Decided to then take an SMC from another board, reball that...

                              Hello, I am looking for any and all files related to the mainboard for 820-2565-A (13" Macbook Pro A1278 mid 2012) schematics/board view.

                              I looked through forum search results and google and was unable to find a board view file, I found a pdf of all the schematics but I don't know where the parts physically are on the board as this is my first macbook board level repair attempt.

                              Hello everyone,

                              I'm working on a MacBook A1278 with the 3115 logic board and facing an issue with no PPBUS_G3H voltage. Here's what I've checked so far:
                              1. U7000 Measurements:
                                • Pin 3 has 0V, even though R7012 shows 16.5V from PPDCIN_S5_CHGR.
                              2. Resistors:
                                • I measured R7010 and R7011 with one leg disconnected, and both tested OK.

                              Based on these findings, I believe U7000 needs to be replaced. However, I have a related question:
                              • If I also decide to replace the SMC, do I need to order it pre-programmed,

                              hi, I have this macbook that works correctly with battery inserted, if I connect the power supply the light turns green but it does not charge, if I disconnect the battery and connect only the power supply the light turns green and the mac enters the ignition loop 4/5 sec, turns off and repeats itself,
