T470 not starting - error code 0285

My good old T470 out of sudden hung while starting up, unable to power off while pressing the power switch for a minute or so. After 10 minutes I removed the battery.
Now the BIOS plays the 0285 sound (decoded with diagnosis app).

The BIOS was not protected by user nor supervisor password.

I have no flash dump, but I am experienced to dump it. Is it worthwhile? I read that this error can be solved my deleting the ME part of the BIOS.

Any advise?

Yes, this is exactly the symptoms I am encountering, too.
I plugged off all power sources, disassembled the device and removed the CMOS battery. I let it drain overnight, turned on today - but error is persistent.

Just for the records - and in case anyone else runs into the same issue:

I dumped the U49 chip, verified it contains the string "20JN" (which matches my device) and then flashed this BIOS

It looks so, yes. I am running a Grub based dual-boot between Ubuntu and Win10.

The system was working for long time like this, but some days ago it was stuck on booting *before* Grub showed the menu. So it seems to had been corrupted by itself and/or one of the other OSes. No FW update was involved.
