Hello everyone,
Need some advice from my Badcaps friends!
I have this Asus C423N laptop that doesn't turn on, voltage from the power supply doesn't seem to get to the laptop.
I checked the power rails and one of them was showing 14 ohms, so I injected voltage on that rail and the SilmPort Chip ANX3429 gets abnormally hot.
So my reflex would be to change that chip, but I am unsure if it is a chip with firmware on it or just a power controller type chip? Can anyone help?
Photo of actual chip uploaded.
Many thanks!
