    Lenovo T61 Fan working, Q81 makes FAN_FRQ signal, but system still show FAN ERROR

    Hello.
    Have this old Lenovo T61 that shows FAN ERROR, but Fan working, sensing works, Q81 makes FAN_FRQ signal, but system still show FAN ERROR

    any hint?

      is FAN_FRQ (Fantech) reaching on SIO?

          maybe i was wrong about that fan is ok.

          I have nice square signal , but after few seconds signal from fan start to be very distorted. it think that signal from fan is bad but can be that distortion made by transistor Q81 ? signal come to base so i dont think but....

              after fan replace everything is ok, so it was bad TACH circuit in fan

                  For Badcaps Readers, Please note that I am hopefully going to present this same message to Lenovo to see if they have any insight to the matter as well and figured to share the entirety here for clarification. The System is out of warranty as it is but does have the option to have it extended.

                  Lenovo A485/T480 USB stops working when USB2.0 is plugged.

                  Hi.

                  I have 2 Lenovo laptops (A485 and T480) with identical USB problem.
                  When I plug in a USB 3.x device (USB storage), the USB ports are working normal.
                  But as soon I plug in USB 2.0 device (mouse, USB storage), all the USB ports stop working. Even if I plug in USB 3.x device.

                  The only way to get USB working again is disconnect battery and reset BIOS.

                  Has anyone had anything similar?
                  I have not yet tried another BIOS, but would that be the problem with USB?

                  Problem is blinking power led only
                  i don't know exactly if it's s145-15igm or s145-14igm
                  have a backup bios file but i dont know the serial.. coz text already erased at the back of the cover
                  Mother board : fs440fs541 nm-c111 rev 1.0 2019-01-08

                  Already tested some of posted bios here
                  S145-14igm - success but invalid serial and not booting on OS
                  S145-15igm - success with serial and some other info in bios but still not booting on OS
                  already tried installing new windows but always booting on bios setup
                  windows installer flash drive detected on...

                  i just format this laptop and fn key not working properly....i cant turn on keyboard backlight, f11 will disable touchpad instead of lower brightness....look at the video...please help, i have no ideas about this,,,,already tried update bios, install all driver on lenovo website also dint help...

                  Lenovo Legion 5 missing EC_ON_5V signal (5v_AWL)

                  Dear all.
                  I have a Lenovo Legion 5 that come to me as faulty.
                  The problem was that Adapter_ID pin was shorted by some liquid... killing the EC (there was a hole in the EC) (therefore 3.3v was shorted)
                  I have removed shorted EC it and tested that if i short EC_SBM_CK1 to ground, then the BQ24780SRUYR power IC lets 20v pass the first and second mosfet.
                  Nothing else seems shorted when checking 3V,5V, 1.1V, battery or 1.0v coils, so I have ordered the new EC chip.

                  I have ordered a preprogrammed Chip for NM-C921 and soldered it on. (No pins shorted after checking...
