Will be in help if you add some more information. Do you have a picture without backlight, or both are missing?

For the convenience of the people helping you in solving the problem, schematic and boardview:

        There is a hope.
Check the fuses (3.3V and !9V rails) at the screen pcb itself. If the fuses are OK, we can start measuring, but for now check that first.

What is the voltage to ground on each side of this fuse (F2) ?

Confirm the same voltage reaches the display connector. Do this carefully.

                Meter in dc volts mode.

Red probe to one side of fuse.

Black probe to ground. Check the measurement.

Repeat with the other side of the fuse.

                Post all readings.

Confirm the same voltage is able to reach the LCD display connector - see attached and check where the arrows are shown.

To be safe, remove all power. Meter in DIODE mode. Short the meter probes and should hear a beep tone.

Next, one probe on either side of the fuse @ F2, other meter probe to the arrows in the attachment. Do you hear the tone beep?

I got the wrong motherboard. I have one where there is no sign of life and on the one in continuity the fuse f2 is good but on the motherboard where I have a very dark display no beep in continuity mode.

Hello people! Please excuse my English, but I'm from Argentina and I don't speak English properly (but I can interpret by reading). If the voltage and diode values are normal, could we conclude that the fault is in the LDC flex or should we continue with the measurements at other place?

If you have access to another flex cable, it is easier to try with it, to not risk shorting some lines when probing. If after trying with *correct* cable and screen it still do not show image ( but shows in vga/hdmi ) , then you can measure other points to see if the Enable signal is being generated.

Recently, I have started to encounter a problem with Lenovo E15 Gen 2 models not opening. When you try to open the device, it gives a warning sound and does not display an image, when you apply light pressure on the keyboard, the image appears and works for a while, when you turn it off and on, the same thing happens again. Bios was tried, RAM slots were cleaned and soldered to the legs, the problem still persists. There seems to be a problem with the onboard processors, but since Lenovos glue the processor firmly from the sides, the paths are very damaged when removing it. Has anyone encountered...

                                by perzyk23
                                Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....

Hi, my laptop suddenly shut down while it was running. When I try to turn it back on, the screen stays black and it emits a melodic beep.

I used Lenovo's SmartBeep decoder and it returned error 0284:

I then tried to enter crisis BIOS recovery mode by pressing Fn + R at boot. The melodic error code changes, but nothing else happens regardless of whether a USB is inserted. I receive another...
