    Macbook Air 820-02016 not charging

    hi all,

    i am working on macbook air 820-02016 that cannot charging.
    there is no sign of liquid damage.

    when i plug the adapter on both usb c only shows 5V 0.02amps
    when i flip the usb c cable, the usb amp meter not turning on for both usb c.

    measurements:

    when getting 5V for both ic:
    PP3V3_S2_UPC = 3.27V
    PP3V3_UPC1_LDO = 3.27V
    PP1V5_UPC1_LDO_CORE = 1.56V
    PPDCIN_AONSW = 5V
    USBC1_CC1 = 3.9V - 4.1V looping
    USBC1_CC2 = 1.4v - 1.8v looping
    PPVBUS_USBC1 = 5V

    when get nothing on usb amp meter for both ic:
    PP3V3_S2_UPC = 0.02V
    PP3V3_UPC1_LDO = 1.0V - 1.5V LOOPING
    PP1V5_UPC1_LDO_CORE = 0 - 0.4V LOOPING
    PPDCIN_AONSW = 0V
    USBC1_CC1 = 1.1V - 1.5V LOOPING
    USBC1_CC2 = 0.5 - 0.6V LOOPING
    PPVBUS_USBC1 = 0.8V - 1.4V LOOPING

    any suggestion will be appreciated.

    thanks

      MacBook Pro 2018 with Activation Lock
      by envym
      Hi everyone!

      I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

      I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...

      General question about MacBook power rails for repair.
      by SarcasticOP
      I am looking at an A2337 and found this for the order of power rails and what they do. Can this be confirmed before I dive into hunting down power rails that do not exist or are not neccisary?
      • PPBUS_G3H (12.6V-12.8V)
        • This is the main power rail that supplies power to the entire system. Check this rail first, as it must be present for other power rails to work.
      • PP3V42_G3H (3.42V)
        • This power rail is derived from PPBUS_G3H and is used to power the SMC (System Management Controller) and other essential circuits. It should be present if PPBUS_G3H is working correctly.
      • PPVRTC_G3H (3.3V)
        • This

      A2941 Macbook air 15” - 5V 0a
      by obelix24
      I’m working on one macbook air 15” m2 that was water damaged.

      keyboard, lcd, microphone connectors were damaged so i’ve replaced all of them and without screen connected macbook worked fine. Keyboard &trackpad and also lid sensor was working fine.

      i’ve put macbook in shelf and order new screen so i can fully repair it.

      Now i got the screen and macbook stays at 5v 0a.

      i’ve tried if it’s not in DFU with another macbook but it’s not detected at all.

      i don’t have schematics so i don’t know where to start can someone help me?...

      A1990 MacBook Pro boot looping
      by Stephen
      Did a T2 restore. Boot loops constantly then eventually loads the OS.

      Did a T2 Restore and revive and OS reinstall. Same issue. Downgraded OS as well nothing.

      No visible water damage seen. No burn chips and MacBook has never been worked on.

      Once the OS is fully loaded seems good. For a while.

      No kernel panic info shows up so definitely curious what’s going on.

      It does boot fully into safe mode without issue.
