    I checked now with adapter plugged in and battery only both ov on acok pin#5 confirm on the battery has 11v

        it seems the acok signal is missing now because there is no voltage also on pq6 pin 2

            pr12 have 97k and pr14 no resistor on the board but both measured 3.3v with charger plugged in but with battery only no voltage

                Remember that ACOK# has the hashtag suffix. So this is an active LOW signal. If LOW, the AC is OK.

                So low voltage on pin 2 of pq6 is ok.

                But if you remove the adapter, the ACOK# line should be ~3volts. Confirm it.

                    Best to confirm +3VPCU rail is always present. If missing, this can be an issue. Time to count sheep and/or dream of Margot Robbie.

                        +3VPCU is present on pu2 but no components on the board

                                With the power adapter and battery installed, the logic board will power up ok?

                                Does Windows show the battery icon and show that the battery is charging?

                                What are the voltage measurements to ground of the battery connector for the SMBUS lines?

                                    Hi did you fully assembled the laptop because some acer laptop has a switch on the maiboard that diasble the battery when the rear cover is not assembled the laptop will not see the battery. Keep that in mind i do not know this model has those switch but i get trolled by this also before.

                                        I got trolled with this too, the switch is engaged when the RAM access cover is on.

                                            doesn't need to be fully assembled, just tape down the switch. otherwise more measurements with the bat connected will be hardly possible

                                                        I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.                                                        ...

                                                        I have an RC radio handset(Taranis QX7) which doesn't have internal battery charger which means I had to remove the battery every time I needed to charge it.
                                                        So to improve it, I added a 15W USB-C charger board(link) inside and soldered it to the same connector on the PCB where the battery plugs into, great, now I can simply charge it with a USB-C cable.

                                                        but the problem I found is that after the radio sat for two weeks without being used the 2S 18650 battery that I'm using was at 4.2V!
                                                        So the battery is backfeeding the charger and being drained.

                                                        How can I prevent...

                                                        Hey All!

                                                        Long time forum member here with a problematic laptop issue!

                                                        I got a RZ09-0196 with a bloated battery (still worked and charged fine) I pulled the old cell pack out and installed a new cell pack in its place.

                                                        The laptop would not power on with the new battery installed without the power supply being plugged in.

                                                        When booting into Win10 (all up to date BTW) I saw the battery icon with 49% plugged in not charging.

                                                        TL;Dr version, old battery worked, charged but was bloated, installed a new non OEM replacement, laptop/windows...
