can someone please tell me that can i use tps51980A or tps51980 insted of tps51980B??

in schematics and in pdf ...they are both showing same signal and voltages..

    actually i am working on A2141, 16 inch macbook pro and i am suspecting TPS51980B faulty..but i dont have same part handy...but i have TPS51980A ...

    Re: TPS51980B Vs TPS51980A !!!URGENT!!!

The TPS51980A and TPS51980B are both step-down power management chips manufactured by Texas Instruments, but there are some differences between the two chips.

Operating Voltage: The TPS51980A has a minimum input voltage of 4.5V, while the TPS51980B has a minimum input voltage of 3.5V.

Output Current: The TPS51980A is capable of delivering up to 1.5A output current, while the TPS51980B is capable of delivering up to 1.3A output current.

Output Voltage Range: The TPS51980A has a fixed output voltage of 1.8V while the TPS51980B has an adjustable output voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V.

In summary, the TPS51980A is suitable for applications that require a fixed output voltage of 1.8V and can handle up to 1.5A output current, while the TPS51980B is suitable for applications that require an adjustable output voltage range and can handle up to 1.3A output current.
