Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
desolder it and see if the short is on the transistor or the board.

Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
So Q901 is one STD6N62K3
I took it out from the board and i measure continuity mode.
I get Beep between PIN 1 = Gate and Pin 3 = Source.
And linked to it i have that two resistors we talked.
I think they are bad... but don't know the value... of it...
One i think was labled 3R0 = 3Ohm
And the other no label possible to discover ... schematic would be important.
Seems i have short or bad Q901 right ?Last edited by nrcslim89; 02-17-2021, 09:16 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
You need to remove them from the board to test them I do not recommend injecting power to them while on the boardLeave a comment:

so it burned from exessive current.
start looking at what it connects between.Leave a comment:

Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
The fuse is where you see F4A on the board it is the brown in color and what look like a narrow capacitor but if you look at the top of it should say the voltage and amperage on the top of it
With the voltage at 300 volts the “ NCP1252” appears to be functioning now do you know how to check optic sensors because you need to find out if they are working correctly or not
First of all do you have a bench adjustable power supply if do remove the optic sensor one at a time and find which two pins are the LED side of the optic sensor and adjust the power supply to get about 10 milliamperes ( or about 1 volt or so ) of current draw if you can not do it this was use a 9 volt battery an a 1k ohm resistor and it will do the same thing
Now take a volt meter and check the output pins on the optic sensor for a resistance reading of some kind if not reverse leads if you do get a reading of some kind you can assume that it should be still good
The Fuse is nice and have continuity, i have one Adjustable DC PSU, so you mean i need to inject on that 4 optioc sensors 1V and max. 10miliamps ?Leave a comment:

Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
Well you are right resistors need help of some other components to burn...
Well it not look at all burned, but the printed label of his value is like "gone" or scrapped in middle so its almost impossible to detect the real one.Leave a comment:

Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
well you need to find what damaged it - resistors dont burn without help.Leave a comment:

Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
Well because it s bad look... I can't know the print or the value... When I measure it no beep but give me O.L MOhm....
Another resistor with bad look is on that area as well that you can see in picture.
Is one 3R0... Well I know its one 3Ohm resistor...
I will find one...
But the R910 it will be nice to discover the real value needed to be thereLeave a comment:

Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
This is great that they are not shorted but this does not mean that they are working correctly though
What is the voltage across the main filtering capacitor on the primary side of the power supply remember that we are talking about main line voltages here so be careful measuring this voltage across the capacitor
If you have an incandescent 100 watt light bulb and can wire it in stead of the fuse would be advisable this would be a little safer way to to work on this switching power supply
Please post your results
I get on big caps when power is plugged around 300V putting the BLK probe on heatsink (think is GND of AC side) and RED probe on big caps.
I test diode mode... Continuity mode, resistor mode and seems all fine.
But I don't know how to really test or measure the transformers.Leave a comment:

Re: XBox One - ADP-200BR - No Power
Yes but I don't plug power on it.
They have bad look and I am looking for a replacements but I don't know the value should I have there... No schematic...
Need to discover or anyone say to me the correct one.Leave a comment:

did you remove R910 on the underside??
it looks like it used to be there!Leave a comment:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!
I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

by Unspun01XBOX One original, not XBOX One S. Has problems turning on.
Power supply is good. Touch panel is good. Both work in another xbox.
HDMI and USB ports are fine.
The last time this XBOX turned on, it had an ERROR 102 so I know it can turn on, and I know it may have a hard drive issue. But the power issue is driving me nuts.
When power supply is plugged into xbox, there is no response from the XBOX. Cannot power on, or eject. No lights. no sounds, not even a fan twitch. Power supply LED remains orange.

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... - Loading...
