    Tps51120

    Dear sir,
    This is my first post on the forum.
    I am a using the above part in my design of mother board for colibri V51 module.
    The design is based on the colibri_arm_iris _carrier bord v1.1. The schematic is attached.
    When apply 24v or 5v at Vin to the circuit. TPS51120 gets warm after some time.
    Also I get 3.3 v at VREG3 pin but only 1.34v at VREG5 pin. Also 0.3 volts at VREF2.
    Also no output at Pin 26 and 15.
    Since I am using this part for the first time , please suggest the test procedure/possible cause for the problem.

      I have the 19,5V but not the 3,3 & 5 V.
      TPS51120 gets warm
      VREF2 = 2.00V
      VREG3 = 1,01V
      VREG5 = 4,99V

      so far I have replaced the TPS but with same results
      I cannot find any short
      I have removed PJP4, PJP5 & PJP12 and after the PQ4,PQ5, PQ6 & PQ7.
      the VREG still is low

      Could the second TPS I had to be faulty too? I don't have more to try.

      Hello, the macbook has power issue - stuck at 5V.
      As I cannot find datasheet for TPS51980 [U7650] can someone help figuring out if there is an issue there.
      Voltages of TPS51980:
      pin23 VIN 12.27V
      pin22 VREG3 3.31V
      pin29 VREG5 0V
      pin13 VREF2 0V
      pin12 EN 0V

      so in order to get VREG5 & VREF2 it needs the enable at pin12 and VREG3 is always on?

      This will be the device of your nightmares. I can't count how many hours I spend to fix it, but it was already way to much...

      However, I really hope for some insight from experience because I have this nice HP ZBook 15v G5 here which came in completely dead, even +VREG3 not working although it wasn't shorted. Previous repair attempt by a somehow professional repair shop, since I noticed action around the controller responsible for +3VALW and +VREG3 without it making worse.       Hello all,

      I'm trying to fix a msi gs75 stealth 10se, at the beginning ic tps51285b get hot connecting the power supply. I desolder the ic and resolder it and for a while I got 3.3 and 5V on Vreg3 and Vreg5 but now I only have 3.3V on Vreg3 but on Vreg5 0V.

      VO1, SW1 and SW2 looks like are shorted to groung even desoldering the 1285b, mosfet near to the ic are not shorted.

      I would appreciate any help you can provide...
