    Original Xbox Power Supply Repair - FTPS-0002

    Hey there friends!

    I have an original Xbox power supply, model FTPS-0002, that isn't showing any signs of life. I have never really done power supply repairs before but I'm eager to learn so I am hoping someone can help me diagnose this.

    The issue is that I get no 3.3VSR standby voltage which in turn leads to no 5v or 12v. A couple things I have noticed in my initial inspection.
    Resistor 25 and 29 are both reading OL, Capacitor 17 and 20 seem to be leaking as seen in the photos.

    So far I have confirmed that 240v, main fuse and the 400v cap is functioning correctly. Then I am completely lost after that.
    My only hunch at the moment is to replace the leaking caps to see if I get any different readings, not sure if that would cause issues with the resistors though?

    Thanks everyone!

    change all the electrolytics for panasonic FR series - that especially goes for any 1200uf caps that foxlink liked to use.

    cant help with the resistors right now - i dont have any open.

      Thanks heaps for the input. What would you recommend to remove the glue?

        i use a combination of tweezers to pull small bits, longnose pliers on big bits and a small flat screwdriver for lifting/scraping

          I have the same PSU and need a list of the resistors on it, the color bands on mine are all unreadable.

            so that psu is universal voltage?
            or you have a 110v version?

              @NatoPotato

              you have possible cracked solder joints.

              resistors are clear in your photo's - they probably work

              R25 = 1k
              R29 = 1k or 3k, hard to tell if it's brown or orange at the end
