HP P5LP - pc mainboard wont work

    Hello,
have this HP P5LP mainboard that wont work.

with processor power cable it start for half of seconds and without it for two seconds.

dont have short anything on CPU power, no mosfet shorted, even with psu it didnt draw current

without cpu power i check all power rails and looks good expect some ST D888 power transistor that have 1,22V output.
Dont have schematic or boardview to check wat is supplying but i dont think 1,22V is something usual voltage.

    Any hint on this?

that 1.22v may be a problem.... look around that transistor for some driver (maybe gone bad) adn try to replace

other than that, you may shot black and green on psu connector and then measure, or test with good old finger if something is heating... my bet is on LAN chip.... in my country there is a lot of power surges so either sound or lan chip goes bad.... removing it from board fixes it

                  hope it helps

                        Dear colleagues,
I've entered the repair of the chromebook machines just one month ago and I've found some significant differences from the classic laptops or macbooks, so I'm searching some advices.

The owner of this chromebook gave it to me after it has been left flooded by water for almost a week, so chances of repair were not so high, the mainboard was oxidyzed in many spots but I made a nice cleaning, resoldering and component replaging work and now it is almost working.

Among other things I've cleaned many spots from oxyds, reballed CPU, EMMC, EC, replaced...

Dell Latitude 7420 - Touchscreen not working since Mainboard replacement
                        by Mirenia
                        Hi everyone,

I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…

In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.

The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled...

LG 50PM670s Mainboard turn the set off after 10 to 20 seconds
                        by faberHH
                        Hello everyone,

I have a LG 50PM670s (very similar to the 50pa6500, but with 3D) plasma TV.
Connected to the power supply, it starts with the LG logo and runs for about 10 to 20 seconds with picture and sound, then the mainboard switches off the television and a few seconds later it starts again in a loop, but without the logo, sound or picture.
It is definitely the mainboard! If I disconnect the mainboard and activate the test signal on T-Con, the test pattern will run without problems.
When I heat the mainboard in the top left corner with a hair dryer, it...

                        Hello,

I'm trying to fix a TV that got damaged by rain (open window during a storm).

The TV at first would start up and work completely normal, with no lines on the screen or anything. But after about 30 seconds, it turned itself off. After it shut itself down, starting it up directly afterward is no longer possible.

The standby light is red and it blinks once on the power-on command by the remote. The relay also does not click anymore when plugged into the wall.

Standby voltages are all present and stable, approximately 13V for the 20V line...

Lenovo Legion 5 high fan spin turns off after 34 seconds
                        by twonk9098
                        Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.

I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.

I have tried a few new bios but exactly...
