    Apple Imac 820-2641-A bios request

    Hello everybody,

I wanted your help on this one please. Problem I think is with the bios because after upgrading the OS now it turns on, shows nothing on screen and fans are spinning at high speed.
I have attached the dump as it is right now.

Does anyone have a working one or can fix this if it has problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

Thanks for your response, but I think it is for a different board / device.
It is also smaller than mine.

          Hello again,

Still trying to figure out the problem with this one.
With the file from al_borbe I have the same issue.
Schematic diagram is hard to find. Doing some measures I have 12V rail and on BIOS chip I can measure 3.3V. Already tried with a known working PSU.
Funny thing is that problem occurred after upgrading the macOS. Already tried SMC reset. I have only the first led ON not the others. In order to power on the board the pwon switch has to be pressed and then connected the AC plug, but I have only fans spinning on high speed and nothing else (CPU doesn't heat up).
          Any tips ?

          Thanks in advance

I know it's an old stuff, but I have the exact same issue, what was the solution in your case?

Just an update on this, figured out, so double checked the BIOS programmer's pinout, and used the firmware above, worked perfectly! Thanks for the share

(After turn on the iMac had full blast on fans, totally blank screen, no blacklight at all.
Worth to reprogram it a couple of times, and also use different AsProgrammer software.)

                  by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                  Some issues
                  A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                  Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                  by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
                  by Wahaz
                  Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

My pc updated bios through Windows Update and I was greeted with BLACK SCREEN WITH CPU FAN MAX SPEED. I don't think there is even a screen signal, because it triggers my monitor for a couple seconds and then the monitor turns off. I tried the other outputs as well.
                  1. I tried clearing bios, resetting bios, removed the CMOS battery, removed m.2 ssd, wifi, and ram. Still black screen with CPU fan blasting.
                  2. I tried using the Lenovo BIOS CD and BIOS USB, but neither worked. At least I couldn't get anything to work.
                  3. I could only locate two chips that look like bios chips. Could someone verify this

                  Bios Request HP 17-CN0023DX
                  by David Gee
                  Hello,

I am currently working on recovering my HP Laptop (Model: 17-cn0023dx) after a BIOS corruption issue. The laptop is stuck in a no-boot state, and the Caps Lock light is blinking with a 3.2 code (3 long, 2 short), which according to HP documentation indicates a BIOS corruption failure.

I have prepared a USB stick using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, but I confirmed that it does not include a BIOS recovery image for Crisis Recovery. I also attempted to extract the BIOS file from the spXXXXX BIOS update package provided on the HP Support site, but that update only provides...
