I have an Asus Prime B450-Plus motherboard with USB overcurrent shutdown problem. All the ports, voltages and resistors are ok. Can someone please help by editing bios to disable this feature? Another member (прямо) has successfully done this and shared the bios in forum but those are for other Asus models.

I think there is some misunderstanding because both the original bios and update from asus are 16MB. Bios chip is GD25LQ128 (1.8V). MB is ok after bios reprogramming but problem returns after windows boot and shutdown.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Same problem, when MB boots to windows after new bios, a Power Surge On Usb Port is shown though there is no short circuit/device connected to any Usb port and USB OverCurrent 15 seconds shutdown message reappears after reboot.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

So I bought a faulty ASUS PRIME B450 PLUS motherboard off eBay. They said it was water damaged and they cleaned it. The PC POSTs and displays a message that it's detected USB overcurrent and will shut off in 15 seconds. I verified this myself. So I did some checks at the ATX connector 1st to see if the resistance readings looked OK. I found the 3.3V rail measures just 179Ohms which seems way too low. It's been much higher on other AM4 boards I've worked on.
So I did some Googling to see what the potential culprits are. It varies from bad protection diodes, bad... -

Hi, i have an ASUS PRIME Z590M-PLUS board, which had an shorted Z590 chipset. I have succesfully exchanged the chipset to a factory new one, however there is a serious problem with the Intel Management Engine (later on: ME) not beeing activated after the chipset device replacement.
For lower chipset families (on ASUS boards) it worked to program the oldest bios version into the SPI rom, and the bios had activated the Management Engine itself by default - there was a message on the screen prior booting - "BIOS is updating Management Engine ..... . I got an ASUS PRIME B550M-A AC Motherboard, bad BIOS, it wont display or boot, unless I did CMOS Restart first, after that It will boot but if I modified the configuration of the bios and saved it ,again no image
