DELL Precision 3660 Tower Workstation BIOS

I bought a DELL Precision 3660 Tower Workstation from a second-hand seller. After bringing it home, I found out it was actually a testing unit. The BIOS cannot be upgraded (only the ME and PD2 sections are upgradable), and there are test messages displayed during boot, which really affects the user experience.

Upon inspecting the motherboard, I noticed that the BIOS is composed of two chips: one 8-pin 16MB chip and one 16-pin 32MB chip.

I acquired two new chips from another source containing the official BIOS version, but after installing them, I found that none of the NVMe drives or PCIe cards were recognized.

The system reported the following errors:
    • Thermal EC BBM Primary Table Not Found
    • Thermal EC BBM Secondary Table Not Found

I’ve backed up both the original test BIOS files (16MB + 32MB) and the new official BIOS files (16MB + 32MB) . However, I suspect my XT5 BIOS programmer may have compatibility issues. Initially, it couldn’t recognize the new 32MB BIOS chip (MXIC MX77L25650F, SPI ID C27519), so the backup might contain some errors.

The new BIOS also has an issue — it cannot exit Factory Mode. After selecting options like WLAN Country Code, China HDD Protection, and TPM Configuration (For Regional Restrictions), I tried to apply the changes, but the "Apply" button does not enable the "Confirm Changes" → "Continue" option. Pressing Enter has no effect.

Thank you very much! I finally managed to perform an online upgrade using 2 RotaRpl_16.1.27.2176_EVT_QS_64 v2.7.0. Meanwhile, both PD and EC can be successfully upgraded to the latest versions automatically.

Only the MAC address of the physical network card has been lost. However, when I attempted to modify it using the conventional tool EEUPDATEW64e, an error was reported.
