"Hey guys, I have successfully merged the 16MB and 32MB dumps into a single, correctly-aligned 48MB image (full_48mb.bin) using a script. However, ME Analyzer still shows File System State: Initialized and throws an Unsupported Intel Engine/Independent firmware error due to the corruption from the failed Windows Update. Could someone please use your tools (like LBE++ or MFIT) to Clean the ME region and fix the corrupted independent firmware sections on this 48MB file? My Service Tag is 5N4B6V3." -
Hey guys,
I messed up and bricked my Dell OptiPlex 5000 Micro during an automatic Windows BIOS update. Long story short, I accidentally pulled the plug before the update could fully finish.
Originally, the machine was in a silent boot loop (white light on for a few seconds, fan spun for 3 seconds and stopped, then rebooted, no display).
Here are the machine details:- Model: Dell OptiPlex 5000 Micro
- Service Tag: 5N4B6V3
- Board Chips: Two chips on board — one 32MB (W25Q256) and one 16MB (W25Q128).
What I've tried so far:- I desoldered/clipped the

I flashed the unlock post on the 2nd floor. Currently, when powering on, the fans spin wildly and I still cannot enter the system. Pressing Ctrl+Esc allows me to enter the BIOS recovery interface, and I successfully flashed the latest BIOS from the official website, but it still won't boot....Leave a comment:

Alienware Aurora R13 (12th Gen) - Enable Hidden iGPU & Clean ME - Boot Guard Profile 5
Hi everyone,
I'm working on an Alienware Aurora R13 (Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake-S) and I need help to enable the integrated graphics (iGPU). This machine comes with a dedicated GPU and the iGPU is factory-disabled at the firmware level. I want to perform a Clean ME and modify the settings to unhide/enable the UHD 770.
System Specs:- Model: Alienware Aurora R13
- Service Tag: 9TWX6K3
- ME Version: 16.1.40.2765 (Consumer H)
- Flash Chip: W25Q256FV (32MB)
The Challenge: The main issue is that I cannot successfully re-build the image after modifying it in MFIT because... -

Thank you for checking the file! You are absolutely right. I didn't desolder the chip from the motherboard, and the in-circuit reading with the clip failed due to host interference.
I will order some necessary tools to desolder this SOIC-16 chip and make a proper dump. I'll post the correct backup file here once it's done.
Thanks again for your time and help!...Leave a comment:

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a second-hand Dell OptiPlex 7080 MFF (Micro Form Factor) from the used market, but unfortunately, the BIOS is locked with a password.
Here are the details of the machine:- Model: Dell OptiPlex 7080 MFF
- Service Tag: JVX2QD3-8FC8
- Main BIOS Chip: Winbond 25Q256JVFQ (32MB, 1.8V)
I disassembled the machine and used an XTW-5 programmer with a 1.8V adapter to dump the full 32MB BIOS chip. The read and verification were both successful.
However, when I tried to clear the password using Dell-8FC8-Patcher (including Rex98's...Leave a comment:

Hey guys, I messed up and bricked my Dell OptiPlex 5000 Micro during a Windows automatic BIOS update. Long story short, I accidentally pulled the plug before the update could fully finish.
Now the machine is in a boot loop: when I power it on, the white light turns on for a few seconds, the fan spins for about 3 seconds and stops, then it just reboots itself. No display at all.
Here are the details of the machine:
- Model: Dell OptiPlex 5000 Micro
- Service Tag: 5N4B6V3
I have already desoldered/clipped the chips and used an XTW-5 programmer to dump the original corrupted...Leave a comment:

Thank you very much. I can finally reset the service tag, I have flashed this file. During the first initialization, the fan ran at maximum speed, and the device automatically shut down after about 1 minute. After pressing the power button again to turn it on, I pressed F2 to enter the BIOS settings interface and set the correct service tag. However, I don't know what else hasn't been modified, when the website detects driver updates, the website still shows the prompt "1234567".

I have an OptiPlex 7080 Small Form Factor with the service tag 9NDV053. However, the fan doesn't spin when starting up, and the System diagnostic lights show Amber 2, White 1. According to the Service Manual, this indicates a CPU failure. But replacing the CPU didn't solve the issue, and flashing the BIOS copied from another computer results in the same error code.
I'm reaching out to this knowledgeable community for guidance. Could this issue stem from a corrupted BIOS, or is it likely another hardware failure? I've exhausted my troubleshooting toolkit—even using a chip...Leave a comment:

Precision 3460 Small Form Factor BIOS
Hi everyone,
I have a Dell Precision 3460 Small Form Factor test unit. Its Service Tag was manually set to 1234567, which causes Dell to misidentify the device (it’s being recognized as a docking station), so I can’t use automatic driver updates or get proper support.
The correct Service Tag should be: FXHFV04.
Could someone please help me reset or clear the BIOS so I can re-enter the correct Service Tag?
Any guidance or tools would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!... -
Thank you very much! I finally managed to perform an online upgrade using 2 RotaRpl_16.1.27.2176_EVT_QS_64 v2.7.0. Meanwhile, both PD and EC can be successfully upgraded to the latest versions automatically.
Only the MAC address of the physical network card has been lost. However, when I attempted to modify it using the conventional tool EEUPDATEW64e, an error was reported.

DELL Precision 3660 Tower Workstation BIOS
I bought a DELL Precision 3660 Tower Workstation from a second-hand seller. After bringing it home, I found out it was actually a testing unit. The BIOS cannot be upgraded (only the ME and PD2 sections are upgradable), and there are test messages displayed during boot, which really affects the user experience.
Upon inspecting the motherboard, I noticed that the BIOS is composed of two chips: one 8-pin 16MB chip and one 16-pin 32MB chip.
I acquired two new chips from another source containing the official BIOS version, but after installing them, I found that none of the...Last edited by cozily; 07-09-2025, 08:49 PM. -
