    Hi All,

Bought a used Dell optiplex 5090 SFF that had an Admin Bios password. Basically just the unit with the motherboard and PSU. No heatsink, cpu, memory or storage. I've tried contacting Dell for a Master Bios Password code in order to unlock the bios. Even though I can prove I bought the unit from an IT reseller and that the reseller has confirmed it never came with any storage etc. Dell won't help me because I can't provide the original first purchaser details, as they say they i could have access to personal info (not sure how as the unit didn't have ANY storage, memory or even a cpu). Long story short, Dell have said they won't touch it.

Is anyone able to provide the Master Bios Unlock Code for the below unit:

    Service Tag: FG9BNM3-8FC8

There is currently no publicly available 8FC8 generator, the only way we can help is if you post your bios backups. The other option is to flash another bios, then the password will be gone.

I doubt there will be any Bios backups as I bought the unit as just a shell with a motherboard & PSU, nothing else.

How would I go about flashing another Bios or seeing if there are any bios backups. I tried to do a Bios update and couldn't due to the admin password lock?

I'm new to doing this sort of thing so please bear with me.

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow
Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

Dell Optiplex 7010 micro bad BIOS flash?
            by mrrubik
            Hi folks,

I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)

            Steps I took:
            1. Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
            2. Patched

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
            by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Dell 9010 MT BIOS Update Always Fails
            by mikeybass
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

BIOS needed for Dell Vostro 3405
            by 417731
Hi, I have a problem while updating the bios 1.27.0. After that the display went off & the bios states as Dell Inspiron 3505 in the F2 boot > bios > Device when I plug into a secondary monitor. As I don't have any experience in bios, request you to please help me to flash the Vostro bios as they share the common motherboard (GDI53 LA-K037P).
            Model: Dell Vostro 3405
            Tag:F0B1YF3
            CPU:Ryzen 3500U

            Thanks in advance

            Bios needed, Dell E5550, Tag FSFB262, Zam80 La-911P Rev.1
            by re1nhold
            Hello Guys

I'm currently fixing two different Dell latitudes,
            I need a E5550 BIOS - SERVICE TAG is: FSFB262

So far I flashed about 6 BIOS from this forum already,
            none worked,
only fan spin ~3s, LCD black, keyboard LED on/off ok,
I tried manual extraction with scripts for ages so to speak. VM is untried yet.
This laptop is not burnt, it seems to just have a corrupted BIOS.
I extra baught ram. This has to work friends.

Do you generate it this way in Windows in CMD?:
            Code:
            E5550A24.exe /writeromfile C:\bios.fd
            ...
