Hi Folks , I need to repair this BIOS. A little background history, was freezing the image, the keyboard was not responding so I could not restart the graphics driver, and the mouse pointer disappeared, it is random after 2 hours or 1 hour, it worked to turn it off directly by pressing the power button for more than 10 seconds it would turn off, if I decided to turn it on again in less than a minute it would freeze again.
I did different tests (memtest86, furmark, aida64) and nothing conclusive came up. In fact, it says that everything is fine. On the third day of testing, it stopped generating video. I am now testing the video rtx2070 on my computer and it is ok, so I suspect that the BIOS is somewhat corrupted. It is worth noting that it was updated to the latest version at the beginning of the tests.
Model XPS 8930
MoBo: IPCFL-VM Rev. A00
ST: 90X9423
Any indication I would be very gratefulAttached FilesComment

by glovecapsHello,
I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.
My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.
The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this... -
by zaraky77Hello everyone,

I've setup a long time ago an Admin and a system password. I can run / install OS with the system password but unfortunately i've forgot the admin password so now i can't update my bios. (it asked the admin psw for instal)
I've contact the Dell support for the Admin password in bios and the asked me the system id /challenge password but it won't show up the windows in bios just says you've fail 3 times system restart.
They gave me a code 38DCEE5F to reset...-

by re1nholdHello Guys
I'm currently fixing two different Dell latitudes,
I need a E5550 BIOS - SERVICE TAG is: FSFB262
So far I flashed about 6 BIOS from this forum already,
none worked,
only fan spin ~3s, LCD black, keyboard LED on/off ok,
I tried manual extraction with scripts for ages so to speak. VM is untried yet.
This laptop is not burnt, it seems to just have a corrupted BIOS.
I extra baught ram. This has to work friends.
Do you generate it this way in Windows in CMD?:
Code:E5550A24.exe /writeromfile C:\bios.fd

by mrrubikHi folks,
I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)
Steps I took:- Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice

by bmxlovahHi,
My Dell Precision T7910 died after enabling onboard SAS controller and applying RAID settings. There were no hardware changes between working and not working state, only setup (via bios -> controller settings). After applying settings and reboot PC turns on, flash leds (normally) but there's no further action, it just stays on with no graphics and no keyboard led's on. There's no Dell logo, nothing. I've tried resetting bios by jumper, replacing cpu's, replacing ram, removed/replaced cmos battery, disconnecting all drives etc. I've also dumped .bins from mobo chips SLI1 (16...-
