Bought this board one day ago, after inserting memory, mobo shows post code d5, without memory - d3, at some point after changing memory slot it showed me post code 66 or bb(idk didn't found any info on this one, bios is AMI on this board btw), but then moved back to d5, what could be a problem, I cleaned dram slots(didn't helped), changed ram, maybe a bios problem, but if it is, then rip, as programmer costs 20$(big money tbh for me), bought this one into my collection of rare boards(which has only one board except for this one - Asus Commando that needs big rework and have parts missing).

It has a socketed BIOS according to what is shown on Asrock website so as long as you know someone that has a programmer it is easy enough.

yep, I tried 2 kits - 2 unmarked 256 mb each Hynix(Came with this lot) and 2 marked 256 mb Hynix each, all of these work on EPoX EP-9NPAJ(Came in same lot). About CPU - Sempron 2500+. On Monday maybe will get other 754 CPUs. I hope I will find someone who can flash PLCC32 chips, as I have only DIP-8 24/25 Series CH341A one...Comment

Hello everyone,
I’m looking for a full raw 16 MB BIOS dump for an ASRock Z790-CX (DDR5) motherboard.
The board powers on (fans spin, RGB lights on, RAM LEDs active), but there is no display output and the VGA and BOOT LEDs stay lit.
I’m using an Intel i9-14900KF CPU (14th gen), and it seems the BIOS version on my board doesn’t support it yet. I tried to flash the official ASRock BIOS file (renamed .ROM → .BIN) directly using my RT809H programmer, but it didn’t work — monitor stays on but with black screen, so I believe the ASRock update file is not a complete... -
I have an AsRock Taichi 7900xtx, and the minimum fan speed is way too high at 1000rpm, and thats with it's Quiet BIOS switch on, and me setting the fan profile as low as it goes, while on.
Now 1 thing I could do is just make some circuit to put in between the fan the the GPU, and leave the fan on all the time, but anytime the GPU is sending the PWM for min speed, I'll just send something lower and quieter.
But does anyone know what how AsRock usually sends the PWM to the fans on GPUs and mobo's? Is it from the MCU that's often near the 12V inputs and fan jack ? Or is... -
I hope my computer does not randomly reboot while typing this. My main system is the AsRock 970A-G/3.1 motherboard with the AMD 8150 chip. I am experiencing FREQUENT and RANDOM reboots once the system is used for a couple of hours (sometimes it reboots before I even get to the Win7/Linux Mint dual-boot screen). The problem MIGHT be the DRAM controller chip (I recently upgraded to the maximum 64 GB RAM). It also might be the VRM chips. I am using a typical aftermarket CPU cooler, which does NOT blow air DOWN onto the VRM heat sink.

I have a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite Motherboard.
Originally would not power on
Reprogram EC eeprom and Bios eeprom with known good from this forum. Now error lights cycle between CPU and Dram.
I have checked for shorts on all coils and found none.
I have checked all power rail voltages and chips for pgood signal all good
Checked CPU socket and found a damage pin, managed to clean and fix it should be making good contact now but no change. Dram and CPU are known good. Dram sockets look good.

Hi guys,
I managed to semi-kill an ASRock N100M board after updating Bios from 1.10 to 2.01. It's a zombie now, dead, but not dead.
ASRock N100M special features:
- CPU soldered to board, small Intel 12th gen
- iGPU
- four POST LEDs
Problem after updating Bios to 2.01 using the in-Bios update tool: no picture, no boot.
I am not sure anymore if it booted at least once successfully after updating the bios to 2.01, maybe not, I can't remember. I think it did not.
Symptoms:
- no picture/signal on any of the display connectors,...
