Hi, i have a 775 mobo and i cut the plastic corners to put a 771 cpu, thats why i fucked this thing up
everything was fine unitl one day i was freaking distracted and missplaced the cpu into the socket (incorrect position), now the mobo would power on, lights up & fans on, but wont post, debug codes indicates harware error, so any idea if i can fix it? Would really appreciated any comment to help!
-Motherboard : EVGA nForce 790i SLI FTW
-Tried different cpu (775) same problem
-Dont have other mobo to test the 771 cpu to see if it´s burned or something
-Did try clear CMOS and take out the bat with no result
