Hi, i have a 775 mobo and i cut the plastic corners to put a 771 cpu, thats why i fucked this thing up everything was fine unitl one day i was freaking distracted and missplaced the cpu into the socket (incorrect position), now the mobo would power on, lights up & fans on, but wont post, debug codes indicates harware error, so any idea if i can fix it? Would really appreciated any comment to help!
-Motherboard : EVGA nForce 790i SLI FTW
-Tried different cpu (775) same problem
-Dont have other mobo to test the 771 cpu to see if it´s burned or something...
Hello, i bought a used mb, can post, but blown 2 new Nichicon 1000uf 6.3v when i changed it, then i ask the previous owner, he said the problem is the audio chip, Via VT1708S, i took a look then find out a pin from the chip is broken, the problem is the chip is already damaged phisically, the first big question i am asking is may i desolder completely the audio chip and it wouldnt affect anything but no sound????? 2nd, can someone tell me the cap spec behind the usb and audio I/O? It has a 1000uf 6.3v cap but i want to make sure.
Greetings, i've always had this doubt about if the size of a cap does matter when is about perfomance. I'm recapping one of my old PSU, Hiper TypeR 580w, and it has a 3300uF 16V cap which is bigger than the new cap, same height but the old cap's diameter has 3 or 4 mm more than the new one, is it ok to use it even is smaller?
Old cap: JEE 3300 uF 16v "Low ESR" printed on the cap
New cap: Samxon 3300 uF 16v RS...
Yesterday i took more time to take a look on ebay, there are sellers from US & Canada selling the fake ones on ebay. I do a lot of research about the product and the seller before buying anything on ebay
I am going to buy a tube of Amtech flux on ebay, but there are 4 kinds for reballing, don't know which one is better for BGA reballing, any suggestion?
Amtech Gel Flux NC-559-V2-TF for BGA Rework
Amtech Gel Flux 4300/LF-4300-TF BGA Rework
Amtech Gel Flux RMA-223-TF for BGA Rework
Amtech Gel Flux SYNTECH-TF for BGA Rework
Unbelievable! I fix the issue by recaping the small cap on the psu board (10 uF 50v) after recaping all the caps on the inverter and logic board almost give up thinking the probelm is the ic chip untill i decided to change that small cap ...
Please see post #18, pic #3. I soldered a 47 ohm resistor at the ic chip, to fix my problem i had to put more voltage so i removed the resistor and made a bridge.
Your monitor is different than mine, so i can only recommend you:
1) resolder all the boards
2) check logic to lcd panel's cable
3) recap all except the big one on the inverter/psu board (including the small caps, today i fix my vp930b that had display issue by recaping a 10 uF 50v cap)
