    Problem with mechanical keyboard

I have a James Dlonkey 619 keyboard, which lately has been having problems with the "2" and "A" keys, so I opened the keyboard to change the "Pause" and "Scroll Lock" switches for the "2" and "A" ones.
One of the problems, is the mini usb PCB connector, was badly soldered, and it had some glue to make the connectors stand still (I already removed the glue in the pics):

So I used a logitech mouse cable instead, since it has the same connector, but the keyboard doesnt work. It lights for a second, blinks 3 times, then turn off. Could it be because it needs that small PCB? the other side of the USB is just plain, doesnt have any component besides the USB connectors.

I also thought it could be because one of the leds (they are on the top of the switch, you can see them on the second pic, those 2 small solders on top of every swtich, with a + sign) fell, and I soldered without checking if they were placed correctly (the + sign), since I dont know it makes a difference or not, so I desoldered this led, but still the same problem.

    What could it be?

    Re: Problem with mechanical keyboard

    you wired it wrong,
that lifted track goes to a pin you need.
search usb pinouts and you will find what you need

Thanks, I bought a USB mini breakout board, will see if that fixes the problem.

yea, you can buy small pcb's with mini or micro usb sockets on them for breadboarding - i have some.
        get them in 10's for a $ or 2 on ali-express.

          Dell 15R-5521 keyboard problem (KBC?)
          by SDNarcia
Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

          As additional information,...
