ASRock K7S41GX No Boot No Beeps

Hi just recapped this ASROCK mobo as stated in the title of this thread it's a 462 socket. CPU chip is warm when you take it out. Attached a speaker and I heard no beep codes or anything.

Tried different chips and RAM all to no avail. Checked the CMOS battery it was fine. Board doesn't shut off at all.

    Faulty BIOS perhaps?

yep. those boards tend to kill themselves by corrupting the BIOS...

a reflash (hot-flash in another board) should fix it (if there's nothing else wrong with it)..

did that about a dozen times now..

Check the C5706 that's next to and powers the northbridge, I've seen a a few of those boards where it fails open circuit.

Thanks for the info I didn't see that particular capacitor number near the northbridge. The ones near it are CE13,CE14,CE17,CE19,CE18.

ASRock B650I Lightning WiFi no boot
          by Weissnix4711
          Hi all,

I'm having some trouble with an ASRock B650 board, any help would be appreciated. Appears to boot at first, turns PSU on, fan spin, but does not post. no display output, beep codes, or anything.

Tracing signals after power button press,

PSIN and PSOUT work as expected,
SIO asserts PSON and the PSU turns on.
RSMRST# jumps to 1.5V then immediately starts decaying over ~200us.
SLP_S3# and SLP_S4_s5# stay high throughout.

          Further power good signals:

          ATXPGD, PWROK0 and PWROK1 (labelled O_PWROK1, SIO_PWROK and...

Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
          by privato89
          Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

          Let's begin:

Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...

Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac wont boot, cpu phases turn off after a few seconds. Bios?
          by Grucha98
Hi I'm working on that asrock motherboard. It had shoted mosfet on cpu phase(changed) and 1 cap on bottom side(changed). Led driver is probably shotted too because voltage on one leg of this chip is 0.5v to 5v (its in loop rising and falling) its's RT7905 and i cant find datasheet :/ But its only led driver so mb should work without it. When i desolder it on the same leg is 5v all the time.

If i start mb on all cpu phases is 1v1 for a few seconds only. Other voltage are present. So i tried to flash bios with the newest on official site and it doesnt help. Its not normal extension...

Xiaomi router freezes at boot after re-capping
          by hinisa
I'm using Xiaomi Router 4A gigabit edition as wireless repeater. It worked fine for 2 years or so, but last week, wireless started to disappear.

When I unplug/replug the power, it was working fine for a day/half a day or so until it freezes again.

After testing with different power supply adapters and concluding it wasn't the issue I finally opened the case and this was the situation:

Anyway I proceed to clean up the mess and replace all caps but unfortunately it made the situation worse. Now router can't even boot, either it freezes during...
