    MSI K7T Turbo2

Can someone tell where to find the version number? This board will not bootup so no way to see any info on screen. Have the manual which came with this board when I bought it (in the box )way back when. On the first page it has version 5.0 G52-MA00433 written on it.Does this help? And yes a visual inspection of the caps ( 21 of them ) results was (1) bulged with sticky residue on top ( G-Luxon 2700uf 6.3v ) a known problem cap brand

Yes the board version ,for proper identification purposes. I've check cap kits listed for this board which list different amounts of caps. This board has 21 caps on it,just want to make sure before I order new ones and which ones should I replace ,G-Luxon,Teapo,or all of them since i've got the board out already.Sorry for being so uninformative about this in advance

          (2)G-Luxon 2700uf 6.3v 10mm dia.
          (2)G-Luxon 2200uf 6.3v 10mm dia.
          (2)G-Luxon 470uf 16v 8mm dia.
          (7)Teapo 1000uf 6.3v 8mm dia.
          (4)kzg ? 1500uf 16v 10mm dia. brown colored wrapping
          (4)kze ? 4700uf 6.3v 12.5mm dia. green colored wrapping
The last ones (kzg & kze) is the only other markings.

            (2)G-Luxon 2700uf 6.3v 10mm dia.
            (2)G-Luxon 2200uf 6.3v 10mm dia.
            (2)G-Luxon 470uf 16v 8mm dia.
            (7)Teapo 1000uf 6.3v 8mm dia

the above ones should definitely be replaced. Personally i would replace the 2700 with 3300 unless TC doesnt have those in 10mm then 2200 instead.

            (4)kzg ? 1500uf 16v 10mm dia. brown colored wrapping
            (4)kze ? 4700uf 6.3v 12.5mm dia. green colored wrapping
The last ones (kzg & kze) is the only other markings.

These are probably chemicon which is not a crap brand but we have had some discussions here about fakes and reliability. So these would be optional to replace. The KZE are low spec and replacements from badcaps would be better spec. Personally i would replace those 8 too and finish the job 100%

Ok thanks willawake you've been most helpful, figured your suggestion would be just that after all the board is out already.Ive already put in a request for a custom kit without the suggested 3300uf replacing the 2700uf ones ,so I guess I should wait for a response back from BadCaps before confirming this order.

dont forget if the board is dead then it may be that more work than a recapping is needed but you dont know this until you recap it.
