AOpen 533-Pro Recap - Not Successful (Yet)

I just recapped my AOpen board but after plugging everything in it didnt boot.

When the 12V ATX is unplugged but the other plug is connected to the board the fans all turn on when I power on the box.

When I plug in the 12V ATX connection and power on the box nothing happens except that I hear a small whistle for about a second.

Can anyone give me any suggestions for what is wrong.

I have checked and all the caps are to the correct polarity and seem to be connected firmly to the board.

I only powered on the board for a few seconds, do I have to wait a while the first time for the caps to charge up.

My original symptoms were most of the caps 1000 or higher had swelled and leaked and the coil near the 12V atx was black and the magnet had lost all its enamel. Do I need to replace the coil?

Please give me any advice you can.

99% chance the board is toast, unless you're willing to do some serious work.

If the coil melted, that probably means the mosfets shorted, which probably means there's a hundred other fried things...

The whistle you hear is the power supply overloading and shutting down due to the short-circuit load.

I'd recommend not turning the power on again for any reason, as you could damage the cpu or other expensive bits...
