    Trouble identifying SOP-8 IC

    Hi all

I have a SOP-8 IC here on a motherboard (FKN-20006-A01259-YS-RS QU48 V1.6) from a QNAP TS-221 NAS that I believe has blown. Image here. It is getting 12V and outputting 5V on the top right leg but the leg leading to L6 has a slight burn mark and there is no output from it. It is marked either A8P3E or ABP3E, there is one more character at the end but it is illegible (this chip was covered in glue which seems to have taken some of the markings off). Based on what isn't working (ethernet LEDs, power LED, JMB362 AHCI controller, fan is getting 12V and 5V but no PWM signal) I suspect the 3.3V rail is missing on this board.

I can't find it in any SMD code indexes. Can any of you wizards identify it?

E: Nevermind, I accidentally set fire to the board troubleshooting it lol. The ethernet ports permanently lit up briefly though so clearly I was in the right area!

Use some alcohol to clean the top you might be able to see the marking better
